great video! I have Question maybe you can help, I have coming from my home, a White , Blk , Red and ground connected to my old fan and the new fan has only Wht, Blk and ground what do i do with the red wire coming from the home?
I have an older home with no dedicated neutral in the box. I ran new wiring from the fan to the switch. Do I need to run new wiring to the breaker box too?
Excellent
Hello, I'm stumped on the threeway exixting wire I have I'm not sure what to hook up to what could you help? Old switch was just black/white/ground.
Have you had any issues with the metal box? I seen in the instructions of mine to not use a metal box.
Im installing this one. Dont have access to the attic as its the bathroom on my bottom level.
where did you purchase your switch? I am in need of a switch as my 159.00 fan light night light music combo didn't come with a switch. I purchased it from Home Depot.
Hey great video! I am just wondering where I can buy the blue led panel control switch?

Any advice on installing this fan with no attic access? My bathroom is on the 2nd floor with pitched ceiling. Thanks

Oftentimes we will just have to cut holes in the drywall.
How's yours holding up? My main light with the 4 touch settings is now flashing like a florescent bulb going bad on the high settings. Doesnt do it all the time but pretty often.

My bathroom is the same size and orientation as this one. Do you think I will still need a can light in the shower stall or does this put out enough light? I love your “5 min” comment by the way

I think how I accomplished it was by moving to the other side of the house and programming one and then moving far away to the other side and programming the other.

You could hire a professional to check the ductwork leading out, if it's pinched or in a bind or has anything blocking it you could run into this problem
What is the cause of a grounding conductor becoming energized or hot along with the hot wire in a NM cable? I am asking this because i came across a junction box that was left open and upon organizing it, i found a grounding bare copper conductor separate from the splice and as i touched it, it shocked me. FYI it was not connected to anything but it was part of the NM cable that fed the junction box with electricity.

That is an excellent question. If it's a equipment grounding conductor bare or covered it would be considered a ground fault. This can happen from a Nick and the cable. A piece of equipment being in contact with a hot conductor and it trying to travel back. A piece of equipment failing. Somebody improperly bonding the neutrals and grounds. There are many other ways but these are a few. If one of those grounds in that junction box went back to the panel and it was properly connected when you remade the junction back up it should trip the breaker If it has a low enough impedance/resistance path. Before this was done the circuit should be turned off that controls the fault. Another note if you ever disconnect a bundle of neutrals while the circuit is on and you disconnect the path back to the source one or more of those neutrals could become hot because the circuit is incomplete. It's best to never undo a bundle of neutrals unless you are positive that all the circuits are off. Hope this helps!

Great video. One topic I would like to see one day is pricing. I have trouble knowing what to charge people. Sometimes people want things done dirt cheap and I refuse but I'm not really sure what price I should and shouldn't tolerate.

@@electricianhub86 yeah of course. i watched the video. You cannot attach brackets to fan shroud if space between studs is 15". I guess you could cut them. That is probably what i will do when i install the fan in the downstairs bathroom.
Mine didn't come with a switch, (the content included in the instructions manual doesn't mention a switch included) My electrician contacted it to the regular switch (one wire option). The fan worked, however the light didn't. Help!
