Why did you tape the white ones black? I thought white is neutral

What about a dryer connection thats 10-3 no ground. Would it not run said display or blower motor? Mines wired 8-3 no ground no issues though. I did debate for a long time whether the neutral wire should hook to the neutral or ground connection of the dryer.

I was trying to figure out why mine had no pigtail wire on the breaker and didnt realize it had a bus bar on the panel the breaker utilized instead of a wire. Thanks for saying that at the beginning of the video. Makes cents now.

Thank you. I never knew this. I've turned off my main breaker twice. The house is 20 years old. Luckily I didn't have anything break. I'm keeping this new information in the brain bank. Thanks!

Lol. Yeah if you’re in sandy soil. Try that in some Georgia red clay. 🤣 The last time a drove a ground rod, I used a fence post driver. I pulled it off the rod and into my skull. Poured blood, about passed out 😂 , luckily the homeowner was beside me (he was a paramedic) so he took to my wounds. Maybe I’ll try the water next time . 🤣🤣🤣

What a missed opportunity of hooking up the switch, which is the most questioned and hardest part of the installation.

I have a 100 amp fuse panel that has some circuits/ fuses removed that arnt being used yet others have double lines running to them Can an electrician come in and sort it out by removing the double lines running to them and spreading some out to the unused fuse spots? I’m positive a lot of them are not being used or do I have to upgrade to a breaker panel first? I’m not blowing fuses and have the correct size fuses and I’m not in need of more power I would just like to sort out the panel I also have 3 circuits that are nob and tube which I don’t use any of the receptacles from these , I would like to disconnect these from the panel and run new romex and receptacles to the areas of the house that have the nob and tube receptacles I’m not using I’m completely lost and getting conflicting advice on what’s mandatory any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

NEC 2023 applicable articles: Conduit size: Ch.9, T4, art. 352 Conductor size: Ch.9, T5 Equation solution: 2.5" PVC SCHED 80 (over 2 wires @ 40% column) = 1.647 #4 THWN = 0.0824 Equation states that there is already (10) #4 THWN conductors in the conduit: 10 X 0.0824 = 0.824 Leftover space within the conduit: 1.647 - 0.824 = 0.85 Out of all the possible answers on the table above, only 10 additional conductors within that conduit would meet the appropriate maximum fill: 10 X 0.0824 = 0.824 = 0.824 < 0.85 (✓) 12 X 0.0824 = 0.9888 = 0.9888 > 0.85 (X) Both 8 and 9 conductors would fit inside the conduit, but the conduit would have not been filled to its maximum capacity, while using 12 conductors would overfill the maximum permitted fill. Therefore, 10 #4 THWN would be the appropriate amount of conductors to put in a 2.5" PVC SCHED 80 that has already been filled with 10 additional #4 THWN conductors.

14 seems rather high, but I suppose the size of the room plays into this.... plus low versus high locations within a given room. (standard wall height, countertop, and above bed height)
