In order to install this shifter, you must rent the fully refundable shifter removal tool.
This high quality shift lever is built for performance without compromising comfort. This piece is designed to make shifting a much more natural and comfortable feeling experience. It installs easily, replacing the OEM shift lever in your S550 Ford Mustang with no modifications required to the surrounding console and is a full inch and a half shorter than stock. The short throw shifter also retains the full functionality of the reverse lockout and back-up camera. Throws will be reduced by 25% with the use of this short throw shifter. *Compatible with the Boomba shift knob, the OEM shift knob, or any shift knob with the same thread pitch as stock*
This piece features easy installation and can be installed from completely inside the car without needing to lift the car or do anything from underneath.

How does the reverse work with this assembly?
I have 2016 mustang gt performance pack, can I install this short shifter on it or this shifter only for 2015 mustang. Please help I been saving to buy this for few months nowThank you

This is for the 2015 and newer Mustangs. So yes, it will work with no issues on your 2016.

We've got plenty of customers running our shifter with a GT350 knob!
Why don't you guys offer a full shifter assembly? I see you sell a "shifter assembly bracket", but the stock shifter assembly itself is garbage..

+hatterz through our testing we have found that our shifter arm when paired with our shifter assembly bracket gets the shifting feel to a really great point. We also sell a transmission mount which even further reduces drivetrain flex.
this is not a short throw shifter... it doesn't change any of the angles of the throw; it only changes the height. the slop from the shifter comes from the angel at which it is thrown into gear, not the height of the thrower.

+Jeff Rodick Long story short; no. Certain dealers can be more picky than others when it comes to aftermarket parts. Some dealers are fine with mods whereas other dealers will not accept any mods. We always tell the customer to ask the service advisor first for what’s acceptable at any given dealership and if you have any doubts to return the car to stock form before bringing it in to a dealer. This part is quite simple to install, so if you ever did want to remove it before going to a dealer for service, it can be removed very quickly. Furthermore there is a law called the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act that states in order for a dealer to deny warranty work on your car, they have to prove the aftermarket part you have installed caused your issue. For example if your window stops working and you have a cold air intake, the dealer is not going to void your warranty. It is illegal for a dealer to void your warranty for simply having aftermarket parts installed. If you have any further questions, please let us know!

+BoombaRacingInc Check the Magnusun-Moss Act. It says that a dealer has to prove that the modification caused the failure and thus warranty denial. For example you install a Boomba shifter and the rear end locks up, a dealer can not deny warranty. However the tranny fails, the dealer has to prove the shifter caused failure in order to deny warranty.

what is the percentage of people who dont return the puller tool?

is there another way of doing this without this tool... I can only afford to buy the shifter...

The tool is a 100% fully refundable deposit. However there have been people on the Mustang6G forum that have used different styles of pullers or made their own pullers in order to get the stock shifter out.

Yes, the stock shifter can still be pressed back on if you remove ours.

thank you guys for getting back to me ! is there any problems with smashing your fingers when going into 1st 3rd and 5th against the plastic in the shift boot ??

Not that we've experienced but a lot of that would probably depend on how you hold the knob.
