After searching for hours this was the absolute BEST method I saw on YT that didnt require buying drawer jigs! Thank you!

Absolutely the best and easiest way to install drawer slides. I did one thing differently. Instead of cutting a board to get the wall space and height for the back bracket I used a piece of 3/4” wide trim piece to space the wall with a clamp at the height to rest the rail on. You made it way easier to install. Thanks again!

Put in a trash can drawer in our island. Its been giving her troubles for weeks. pilot holes critical . now she thinks I am a carpenter. After searching and viewing several videos, this is the first one that I've found that have cabinets built like mine. I also have that gap from the inside of the cabinet to the face frame. All the other videos I've watched have the rail mounted right against the inside of the cabinet. So with that gap, I also have to use an End Bracket as you do at 4:51. And now with the "Oh duh, why didn't I think of that?" jig you made as shown at 5:02, I now the confidence that I can get this project done, and surprisingly easy at that. Thanks for taking the time to show us how to upgrade drawer slides. I sincerely appreciate it!

Thank you so much for this great tutorial! I'm installing all new drawer boxes with soft-close hinges, so explainging how to line them up on the new drawer boxes was very helpful. And the bracket to hold up the hinge to keep it level was a game changer!! 2 thumbs up!

Hey Kenny, my real speciality is woodworking, but I do so much of it at work, that I do the small engine stuff at home.

This is better instructions than what you get with the slide kit. You have to have 4 hands following those instructions.

Thanks for the instructional vidio. I installed the exact same ones. This vidio helped tremendously. However, I had trouble holding my screws to attach the bracket holders in the back. Since my screwdriver attachment on my drill wasn't magnetized I couldn't start the screw. I cut pieces of electrical tape approximately one inch and stuck the screws through it and folded the tape back and taped it to my screwdriver shank. Started my screw , then reach back and pull the tape off then finish tightening it. Hope this helps someone. No more lost screws.

I ve looked at a lot of these videos and all of them assume installed cabinets are square and level. When installing these in existing cabinets it’s would be important to make sure rails are square with face frame, level, and both rails are parallel. This is important information for retrofit

I see that there are more holes in the end bracket that once you get the right position of the bracket you can add more screws to give it strength and holding power for heavy drawers.

Great video Bob My wife wants to know when are you coming to install these on our drawers? LOL

The rest of the drawers went well. I was one back bracket short because they came in packs of 5, so I cut a set in half and welded them for 2 drawers. Worked out perfectly.

Thank you for a clear instructions. Just wonder how strong these ball bearing slides are if they are installed only on one side of a tall narrow drawer. I have a cavity where I'd like to install a 24" by 24" and 6" deep cabinet that can be pull out for storage. I'd like to install two of these slides on one side of the cabinet.

I don't have these slides myself just yet, (I'll be getting mine in a few days,) but if you space your slides as far top and bottom as they can go, and if your contents aren't too heavy, that configuration might be able to work. Conversely, it might also be too heavy for the bearings' retainers and they could "pop out" from the lateral tension. Hope you let us know your workaround! 😊🌎✨

I light that illuminated the back of the cabinet would have been helpful

You dont need any wooden jigs. Just measure and use double side tape to secure slide to the cabinet. Then screw it . Done

No. The rail sits away from the edge of the cabinet. It isn’t flush against the side.

My droor feels resistant and it struggles to close, I can't seem to fix it no matter how many time I try to pit it back in, what's more all the balls keep falling out!

Have an issue with one drawer with this type of slide; it glides open by itself. Appears that the interior slide needs to be raised but how does one do this with the interior glide still in place? The drawer is in a tight corner next to the stove and is not easily removed or reinstalled. Can you advise, please?

you are going to have to remove the drawer to fix. You will get it.

I noticed you had to pull a little bit on the drawer to open it. Is that because of the soft close mechanism?

The soft close mechanism has a spring you're fighting against so it might provide resistance the first 2 or 3 inches when opening. Think this is why he showed that you can remove it should you not like it

We jus gonna roll past that prt where he farted at 5:50? when he was first putting the track in the guides?

Installing same slides and tolerances are to tight, the old slides are a about a sixteenth inch narrower making it to tight.. have a fix?..

Well - pretty good video, however I wanted to see you get down on your belly and tackle that bottom drawer slide!! you missed the most difficult part of that upgrade!!! minus the cussing and groaning, if I had a little young lady she couldn't be in the same neighborhood by the time I get done with that install!! with all the cussing

the sound is not good I am quite disappointed

There is no reason this video needs to be 7 minutes
