    Great video, you make it really clear and simple with your explanations. That gel your using to seal the holes would appear to be a bluing agent like you would use in gun finishing. Just oxidizes the metal to protect it.

    I installed clearance light on my 2014 mega cab and I am having a heck of a time finding the right wire to connecting to. So that my clearance lights come on with the headlights. I thought I could connect to the light switch control but to my surprise I can completely disconnect the wire hookup and start the pickup and head lights come on. While the wire connection is disconnected. Must be a computer module set up. Any ideas? Super confused.

    @@briansmobile1 I hope you will see this. Im trying to choose a quality cab light set up for my 2000 Dodge ram that didnt have them originally the parts am feel pretty cheap and I've seen some bad reviews about Recon, I noticed that Atomic doesnt have lights for our generation of pickup so my guestion is are those later model lights you are installing? I found some Mopar oem kits on Amazon that are model year 2010-18 im sure i could figure out the splice id just like to know if they fit snuggly enough to the hood to prevent leakage being they arent meant for our year of trucks. Thank you for your time!

    It may be that the ground current is insufficient. If you have too much resistance on any part of the circuit you will get heat. To help the amp flow- use a heavier gauge wire, or a larger bolt to ground or ground terminal (at battery) to chassis.

    On your ground wire,don't you think it would have been a lot easier to use the blue wire connectors where they have one wire in a straight line and the light ground on the side of the same clip?You can use the same clips for power too.I've done this install almost a dozen times and worked like a champ.These are the clips you use to press the metal clip inside the plastic,you don't get lose wire or bad grounds.You could have saved an hour or more.and only for a couple dollars.

  • @briansmobile1

    @briansmobile1

    10 жыл бұрын

    Yes! They're LED- even the front factory placed turn signal bulbs are. This allows you to have more lights without over loading the circuit AND so you can turn the noisy engine off and still have traffic communication/signaling. (I still have to use a custom LED flasher or my truck BCM thinks a bulb is out and signals too fast) -So you wire them the same way as the harness built in this video. You extend the front turn signal + wire down the frame to the back tire in distance (inside frame tube along or inside factory harness jacket for protection and stabilize from chafing etc.) That causes them to work with turn signals/hazards, but not brake lights. The ground is built into the housing of the LED marker lights and is acquired locally.

    Nice job, and I believe most people can do this with a touch of warning not to fold their liner and stay away from Alex. The wiring (unit used, and what wire where so it does this and that kinda thing) methods of stripping and heat shrink should make it out okay. Another concern was the voltage, did you relay or wire hot straight from the battery or fuse box. I guess I'm trying to dumb things down, or maybe everybody gets it and I'm just too critical. My feet hurt.
