So true it seems like Android is flying right now.. and it isn't fun Back in the days we got updates in months and we were pretty excited about it , always something new in android , now just android 14 final released and android 15 beta even started? I don't even see important changes from android 12 to android 15 , 😑
I did it a few weeks ago on my Pixel 8 Pro and my nfc didn't work so went to back to the stable version of Android 14 May update
I think android 15 js going to be the best one yet. And i know I'm going to use 2 of the newest
does it fix doze notification delay? It's so annoying using android nowaday

@@randombeatsuk Yes the beta version 2.2 reads that issue has been resolved. I'm yet to try it. Over all there are no issues for me on my daily driver. Beta 3 stable is out soon. Since the update my phone seems way more snippy in a good way.

As of right now no. Samsung needs to port the S24 Ultra to Android 15 Beta releases and make it publicly available. Porting the existing and adding new One UI exclusive changes to a newer yearly or quarterly AOSP release and ensuring the ported device supports the new release takes time and lots of effort and testing. They historically have launched their One UI Betas closer to the final release in late Summer. If you want to enroll a production device (daily driver), I'd advise against doing that, but they will eventually open up a Beta program for S24 series users.

The risk reward ratio is strongly tilted to too risky with these betas nowadays. Android is a very mature OS in 2024, the fomo is really non existent for a new fork.

@@KianFloppa last time I did a full version update beta, I had a ton of bugs, lag and crashes. I run a Pixel 7 Pro btw.

@@KianFloppaFeature Drops aren't the same as Quarterly AOSP releases and shouldn't be thought as part of them, even if they release at the same time. Even though Android is very robust and mature I don't advise anyone to use Android 15 (AP31) on a production device considering its heavily under active development right now (even if more stabilization work begins after Platform Stability) compared to other actively developed releases like 14-QPR3 (AP2A). Users in production should stick with the latest stable AOSP/Stock Pixel OS releases.
I would but I own a Samsung device.

People who want to help steer the development direction or help out with testing before mass release to AOSP. There is a vocal subset of people who are impatient and do complain about bugs or regressions found, even though some of them might be known issues that they were made aware of before signing up for the OTA channel or flashing the factory image. I assure you, they are the minority though.

@@rythmater That is exactly the purpose of my question. Unless people are actively contributing to beta testing the AOSP and report bugs where they should, there's no point in installing beta software on a daily driver device. The video title should change to "How to beta test A15" and do a full guide on bug reporting. After showing the installation process. The loud minority, keeps complaining about bugs, yet they don't follow protocol ending up annoying the rest of the community.

Doubtful.. cause Google will start making Android 16 before even finishing Android 15. Android 14 still is unstable and in efficient to use.

Bro trust me toons of old application won't work in android 15 , 14 is still unstable sometimes so stick with past version for time
Install it at your own risk? Who are going to componset the heavy losses that will occcur due to you incompetent piece of code . The manufacturer or the os providers? First test thoroughly inhouse on your staff devices and then release for the people to evaluate.
