I have LG V50 and treble info says: Your device does not use Dynamic Partitions. There is no need to use fastboot while flashing high-level partitions. Is there any solution? Thanks.

Interestingly, if you don't unlock the bootloader, you won't be able to update the system? If my original firmware was originally in Chinese and English, will new system languages be available?

Hypothetically, what would happen if I tried to do this and my device did not ship with Android 10 + or higher? I have a Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) and have seen other videos of people putting Android 12 on it but I'm wary.

In Android 12, after highlighting the text, the submenu does not open - copy, select, share, cut, etc. This is a SERIOUS mistake.

My device, BLU G90 PRO, supports dynamic partition but there is no "DSU Loader" option in developer options. When I did a search for Dynamic, it did display "Dynamic System Updates" but it only displays the "App Info" for that system app and doesn't actually display this option under Developer Options. Note that after doing a search, I did find that the DSU Loader was introduced in Android 11 so I'm assuming you must have at least Android 11 in order to utilize this functionality. If you know of any other ways of turning this option on, please let us know. Much appreciated.

the only thing it brings is more customization options, nothing more...whether they are useful for users...that is debatable, many of us prefer Samsung to make a cleaner and more optimized OS with the option to uninstall system apps that we do not use as ar emoji or ar zone...etc...

I can't get Android 12 when I download my DSU . My DSU startes downloading when download is complete then I press restart button. After restarting the Android 12 doesn't come. The starting screen of the tab comes . Please resolve my issue

My phone keeps saying installation failed, even though there's no reason it would fail. It ships with Android 11, fully supports Treble, bootloader unlocked, but installation failed.

Thanks for making this video and doing such a great job on overviewing the process in layperson terms. I've watched probably 20+ videos on how i might go about trying android 12 on my umidigi power 3 device and all of them seemed complex and high risk in nature, in that if things go wrong you've bricked your device or if android 12 ends up operating with a bunch of core device functionality not working then going back to original oem image is not possible or also risk. Is there a way to reverse all of this, e.g. you said if i choose discard the dsu in the notification it gets rid of that temporary partition android 12 alternative boot option. If i do that and disable developer mode options will i end up back on the oem factory setup experience i started out with ready for sale of device to non-technical person? Also what about when android 12 finally ships in the next few months. Will there be an easy process to move the temporary partition dsu android 12 boot option to the primary device boot partition as the permanent primary OS install or is it unlikely a gsi [ generic system image ] will every be something you want to use as daily driver on project treble supported device where oem doesn't create, test and push out android 12 update to the device owners?

@@yodle4475 Could you please share how did you go from Android 10 to 11 and then from there to 12 on your umidigi power 3? Everything I've watched says you got to get from 10 to 11 first and only way to make that jump is by applying an Android 11 image designed specifically for the device you have. If fingerprint reader was only thing not working once you made it to Android 12 on umidigi power 3 is there any way to eventually resolve that? What features of camera app were not working? Did you find the umidigi power 3 performed any better once on 12 or slower than when running the Android 10 it shipped with?

I'm grappling with a similar issue as well. My device is currently running 8 but in the video he says that to upgrade to 12 your device needs to ship with 10+ so I'm wary of trying anything.

@TwisstedToast where did you hear that? have you never heard of custom roms or magisk and stuff? unlocked bootloaders are just that, unlocked bootloaders. they have nothing to do with stability

It depends of the OEM, the device should has a Dynamic partition support , Use treble app that I showed in the video, also DSU option should be present inside the dev settings.

Thank you for your video! my system is on oxygen 13 and i loaded dsu in the dev section. But as i started, it shows the screen to move with the volume up and down i clicked the powerbutton and it starts. but not in the new stock system. It starts in the oxygen os as it was before. Why it won´t start in stock android?

Andriod 12 looks like a huge stepback in my opinion. I'm running andriod 10 oneui 2.1 on a Samsung Galaxy s10e device and visuals look 1000 times better. Thank you for the update. Definitely not upgrading to this software. Hope this helps

I do think 12 has some unergoomic features however in my opinion it's a simplicity in design that having ran 8 9 10 and 11 makes certain things like notification settings and UI changes much easier and more cohesive overall.
