I'm a female DIY homeowner and rely on KZread a lot. I don't have Dad around to help me take things on anymore. Thank you so gosh darn much for this video. I put up one of these doors about five years ago as the wind took my previous one. I remember it being one of the most stressful and difficult things I ever had to do as a home owner. When my most recent one was broken, I figured I would just sell my house. Unfortunately i need my house so i started researching doors. I settled on this one thinking that i could just pop the hinge on and keep all the other stuff from the last door, right where it is. I was wrong lol. This door sat in my living room for two weeks. Contractors wanted $250 at least to come and put it up. You saved me $250 that i can now spend on stupid stuff and that just means the world to me. Seriously though, you made the entire process easy to follow, way better than the instructions, and I managed to get it up and looking better than my last one. Thank you so very gosh darn much.

Man it's amazing how you have a video for literally everything that is also currently wrong with my old house. You are just the best. I also appreciate that it's just you. Makes me more confident that my not-very-handy partner and I can do it together.

Finished installing the emco300. At 76, I had to do alot of pre-planning. Four hours once I started. Biggest problem I had was those clear shims. Darn things had a way to disappear twice. Overall follow the instructions watch your video and you can’t go wrong. Thanks for making these videoes

I saw a couple of videos but yours is definitely the best. It made the task less intimidating . Been waiting for my installer for way too long. He will be surprised next week as I'll do it myself! Thank you for all the details on this video!

I’ve done a lot of things in construction over the years but a storm door has not been one of them. I was able to successfully install my first storm door after watching your video. Appreciate the info here. Keep doing what you do. JC

Usually I dont give the time of day on a video that isn't exactly like what I have, but you did such a great job showing how and what you was doing I watched almost the whole video..... I have the cheaper 100 series, it starts out similar but I can see that you have a much better door when you get to the latch and how the screen works. So after watching several videos on storm door installs and for anyone that has this 400 series I highly recommend your video, it's by far the best how-to video on YT👍

Thank you for a wonderful experience of hanging this door. I liked the way you took it step by step. The hardest thing for me was getting the screw covers on. All most messed up the hole appearance of the outside of the door.

I had no idea there were so many pieces and steps involved. Where I live nobody has storm doors, we have screen doors and they have like three pieces total and you can install them with your eyes closed and drunk.

I purchased two new storm doors (different brand/models from the one you showed here) and planning to install them this weekend. This will be my first time doing it and hope all goes well! By the way, I just notice how nice and smooth your hands are (for a handyman :-). Thanks for sharing and great video!

What a perfect job installing the door.. Unfortunately my door was not put in well or even close to your install. A half inch gap between frame and door, gaps all around. Door slammed and glass window dropped and smashed inside. Now I know what to expect for a correct install.

Excellent tutorial. The part that made me feel better was watching the strip go on that covers all the outer screws. I know it sounds weird, but I have a double wide house that the outside of the storm door has like a hundred hex head chrome screws in it that show, and it has always bothered me. I am fixing to replace my front door and storm door, and was very worried that it would be the same.
