Im trying to install a vertex piston kit on my 2014 250sx ktm and im definitely NOT HAVING A GOOD TIME....IVE REBUILT TOPEND A FEW TIMES BUT THIS VORTEX CIRCLIPS ARE REALLY GIVING ME A HATD TIME

I had exactly the same issue with my 2016 SX250. In the end I made a tool on the lathe myself and this has done the trick. I came across a video on YT where someone used a special tool so I have used a bit of Alu bar and inspired by the video made something similar

i currently trying to rebuuld my 2023 tc 250 with a vertex piston and im about to burn the thing 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Hour into this already had one fly across the garage and the other flew right into my eye ready to just sell the thing

It's definitely tricky, but you got this! Take a break and try again when your fingers aren't killing you.

Slavens racing easy clips are only 7.00$ and are way easier to install and remove with just needle nose pliers do yourself a favour and grab some for your Top end job and save scratching your piston
