I went full send with a 102" whip on my dodge 😂. The reception is nuts and .5 SWR across the board is solid too

From what I’ve found fire sticks are the best antennas to run with CB’s I haven’t had any issues with them plus you can tune them so you can get get a couple miles of talking distance

Is this the loudest spot to have the PA speaker? I’m looking to do this for people who are on their phones when the traffic light turns green.

I'm a tour guide and we use cobras too mainly for the pa system and I find it weird some of them are just loud and it doesn't have the volume its just cranked at loud and some do have volume I happen to have the one with the volume.

Just picked up the same radio at the Walmart for $39

If you get a ring doorbell you can see, speak and hear anyone at the door.

Mine just make a high pitched noise. Do I need an antenna???

which speaker did you wind up buying? and what's the wattage on it? figured I'd just get one of the smaller 15w speakers but wanted to make sure it could be about this loud.

+Joey Knapp the speaker I went with was 12W so you should be good to go.

Look at your radio and see what the max watt output is. As long as it's at or more you should be good. Most cb radios are low wattage and not super loud. If you want it to be loud you have to get an amp

Try a better cb radio I've done this with both my Galaxy 99 and my connex 3400 HP

A better mic will clear that up quite a bit. I use astatic. They’re super clear but a bit on the treblier side. I like that but u may prefer Ranger mic. But they ugly brother lol

+VIPER56 the back of my CB has a ext speaker option you should have Aux plug for it

Hmmm Does sound like Squidward...but, it will work to wake up drivers or get their eyes on the road instead of on their phone, these days so many people sit at 4 ways with the light green not even knowing it's green because, they are distracted with their phone and it's extremely annoying I drive an SUV and with mods it's nearly 10,000 pounds so when people cut in front of me it's dangerous for them since I cannot brake on a dime even with my brake upgrades and so I honk at them and they act like nothing's wrong or I am just being an ass when In all reality they could have gotten themselves hurt easily going under my rig I almost completely ran over a little Mercedes coupe I will admit it resembled a pot hole from the inside of my rig 😂 yes I run over potholes because, I am proud of the way I built my suspension alright
