This is a very thorough description of what to do, how to do it, and what to watch out for. Mike is at the tail end of rebuilding his Pontiac 400, which is now a Butler Performance 467, because a Roller Lifter Broke! (see link below). Nice! I had my muffler guy install my Magnaflow catback. Still retained it as a bolt on. I had them trim the exhaust tips flush to the rear quarter panels turning down.

Thanks Bill! I love my lift too... :) I read an article in Hot Rod, a long time ago, that gave five reasons for owning a lift. Reasons 1 through 5 were the same... "Your back". Ha! I have a bad back, so I was on board. Worth every penny! Thanks again!
I think one side might be longer for clearance for the starter?

I have a 06 chevy cobalt im wondering if im going to have to program the ecu if I put magnaflow exhaust

Noah, most EFI systems will adjust to the better efficiency over time. BUT, if you can get your hands on a different "tune" it'll definitely help. Good luck!
Is this a kit or a universal system?

Good question, Brian. Yes, and Yes. Soooo, this is Magnaflow kit #989734, which is universal to all A-Body's year's 68-73 ie, Chevelle, Cutlass, 442, Monte Carlo, Malibu, El Camino, GTO, etc... best thing to do is to go to www.magnaflow.com and look up your vehicle. The "kit" will come with the same brackets and extensions as I've shown, but may have different bend locations, if it's not the same kit as above. Hope that helps!
