I used a Phillips screwdriver and put the license plate behind the frame on the the front of the c😊car

In my experience yes, but you can just as easily use the Philips screwdriver as well. All the vehicles Ive come across had Phillips heads, unless someone replaced em with something else 👍

Mines have square holes

Ok, so then you're going to need a square drive bit to remove if it doesn't additionally have a hex head around it 👍
