Thanks so much. I wanted to change out the keyed chuck on my old G7948 drill press and got the G8583 keyless unit. I got the chuck on the new arbor no problem, but couldn't figure out how to seat the arbor in the spindle until I saw this video (nothing about that in my copy of the manual). Thanks again.

Thanks for confirming what I suspected was the proper procedure. I'm about to buy one of Grizzly's keyless chucks, plus the appropriate arbor as I want to keep my original keyed chuck and arbor duo intact and together.
