@@TheProvokedPrawn Is it possible to put a windows 7 file/image onto the ssd my ssd is about 480gb it'll run pretty bad but i can try :)

It requires these cables, which I’m not gonna tell you anything about.

Thanks for the feedback. The data cables come with your motherboard, the sata power cables come with your PSU

What exactly were the cables called. I took off the glass on my case to install this only for the glass to explode in my hands and find out that I don’t have these cables 😂

Good day Sir, do these drives need any special drivers or configuration? I have a CRUCIAL BX500 2TB CT2000BX500SSD1 installed in a 2011 Toshiba L775 running Win7 with the newest drivers I could find and the fan is running a lot more than with Hitachi HTS547575A9E384. I don't understand why: the Hitachi is rated 3.5W while the Crucial is 2.4W (Max). The only logical explanation I can find is a driver issue or a conflict miscommunication with the bus. I was expecting the laptop to be quiet with the Crucial but the fan is running constantly if I have HWINFO and 2 Firefox windows open. :(

Ive run out of M.2 slots on my motherboard. I also have a 4090 so no room to add a pcie internal card for adding more M.2 slots. So I’ve considered either using these sata drives or building a nas machine. Is there an advantage to using several of these sata going to the motherboard verses usb c from a nas to a usb c port on the motherboard I/o ?

NAS is generally HDDs right? SSDs are significantly quicker. So that's something to keep in mind. I have both a NAS and an SSD in my system and the SSD is much easier to access and transfer files to and from.
