Old time skater here... I casually teach friends and kids - and I struggle to clearly communicate concepts that have become instinctive to me... Your video saved me: so clearly do you lay out all the elementary steps - the explicit breakdowns I needed to make my teachings useful... Thank you !

Great full-length video! I started during covid with soft boots, and they were, as I realized eventually. literally rotating around my foot as I tried to turn, so I kept falling. The boot "fit" correctly, but with the shape and fit, it just couldn't hold to my foot in a way that felt and supported me learning technique. =)

Thank you - the parallel turn reminded me how animals "lead" with the left if turning left, and lead with the right to turn right. (And they are such athletes that if they want to switch it up, they can, which I bet pro-skaters can, too!)

Does anyone know if I can just reposition my feet as parallel in order to stop until I can master the other stopping methods as a beginner? Also can anyone recommend a good hard boot skate that would work for casual cruising? I just got a Powerslide Imperial Lollipop pair but after practicing on both tennis courts and concrete they seem really slow. I’m not sure if they need any adjusting for ease like one would do for quad skates. Any suggestions or insight? Thanks in advance!
