Nice video Adam. All your videos make learning nitro easier. I started in early 2000s, no KZread.

Very good info like always ! I oiled my clutch intentionally because I was running in rain and after rain I think it’s slipping too much now think going to have to clean the oil out of it !! Thanks !!!

Hey man, good channel. You helped me get my old nitro buggy up and running again. I was into the hobby back in 2012. Life happened, and I fell off. I'm back now. Any suggestions on a good beginner nitro RTR in 2023? There are so many brands out there. Something under $500. I currently have a Red Cat Racing Tornado buggy with alot of plastic parts. That company doesn't deal in nitro much anymore, and I'm assuming nitro rc tech has gotten better since 2012...

Hi Adam Thanks for the good video, can you tell me how to steer the car in the air? For example, if the car is tilted to the left, do I have to steer to the right? Or how does that work?

What helps too is when u don't flip the car one time then the tank lid plops open dumping fuel out... I literally watched this happen around turn two at AMS a couple weeks ago it dumped like 4cc out all over the track. I wonder if it's possible to fit a slightly bigger in girth o-ring for the tank lid seal...

You should do a test to show how much run time you get for each venture. With your tuning skills

Power to weight ratio. For example I put a 6.2 ltr in my GMC in place of the 5.3 ltr. Nothing changed except for the displacement. On average, with the 300HP 5.3 ltr, I would get 16 MPG city hwy combined. The 450 hp 6.2 ltr gets 18 mpg. This engine works more efficiently because it does not have to work as hard. RC... I agree with all the small things.

The engine is more efficient in general, if it was equally as efficient it would output 350hp.

@KacKLaPPeN23 It depends on the weight of the vehicle. Accelerating from a stop... to the posted speed is what really kills gas mileage for most people. A 10,000 HP top fuel motor in my SUV will not make it more efficient. Neither will a 2.0 ltr 4 banger. A 350 might...like you said. The engineers, in my opinion, don't take these things into consideration.

This improves runtime but won't pass tech at a big race.

I think in the heat of race days when asking pros for advice they always seem a bit closed but I do feel it’s sometimes because they’re in the zone. I feel the RC industry has changed more also you’re right back in the day most pros were very closed. I remember some times drivers would be covering their cars in the pits so no one can see their set up even if you were running the same car. I’ve not known Adam for a long time but I can say this man has so much time for the RC community. I ask this man so much at times and he always takes the time out to give me a structured response that helps me so so much. For that reason I also run his engines. I feel if your asking a driver at least run something they have or use.
