Nyk Melo Start with writing what you want in your every day. For me, I typically write, “What emotions do I want to generate today? What are 3 things I have to absolutely do today?” Journaling is really just a self-checkin on your health and self. Then taking action right away, or the next day, after journaling.

KZread is the demon for me. I have too many interests and I am excited by lots of kinds of content. So I spend too much time skimming through a lot of videos. Often times I find videos which only have a nice subject, but are tackling it poorly. Back in the day when I would only watch beauty tutorials, I could actually remember everything I watched and came back to it in times of need. I really don't know what to do. I'm in a kind of lonely time in my life and I enjoy watching people's experiences or opinions or whatever else is on here. The problem is that I always feel a need to check out and catch up (I think) and I always end up spending way too long here. Nathaniel, I'd love your two cents on the KZread issue (ironically, as someone pointed out)

I had the exact same issue which was even more of when online school started. I was on youtube 24/7. Not kidding. I would find every moment to be on it. I too felt as if I would miss something really important. What really changed this was by disabling the app on my phone (because it cannot be uninstalled on my phone) and forbid myself to log onto youtube while using my laptop. This need did not come automatically. I'm not a saint. It was the fact that I had to appear for exams in school, amid the pandemic because, the school authorities thought that everyone would cheat, which is partially true. Being completely aware that our school is known for failing even the top students, the fear of failing prevailed over losing some content over youtube. I saw most of my friends either completely giving up their mobile phones is disabling all the social media apps. Initially, it was hard. I have to be honest. My body physically reacted not getting any stimulus. But my condition got better and now I can finally say that I do not have the fear of loosing out on content (at least for now, on youtube) I would highly recommend reading the book on digital minimalism by Cal Newport. It drastically changed and also gives a method which is radical but, tried and tested, effective to altogether forgo the need to be online 24/7. I know that this is a late reply and really appreciate it if you read it till the end. Hope you have a great day.

After so many years of watching KZread, I write a comment probably for the first time ever. I just wanted to express my wonder about how inspirational a person can be! This is the third video on your channel, that I've seen( the first two are where you learn Italian in a week. And I'm in the process of mastering French myself, so they've been of huge help), but the connection is already there. It just clicked somehow! So I just wanted to thank you wholeheartedly for all the inspiration and shared experience. Its a wonderful thing to offer the world 🌼 P.S Probably not going to rest until I watch all the videos on this channel :)

Stopped the video at 6:50 to comment: There are only 3 yt channel's for whom I kept notifications on. You are one of them. I don't always watch your videos immediately, but at least you go into my "watch later". Your videos give me this warm feeling in my heart, that even though I am struggling I am not failing. It is like this, because you are very genuine and authentic and share your own struggle and don't erase your shortcomings for KZread. I am 27 years old and after my military service I struggled a bit in collage and now I am finishing my masters degree. Jordan Peterson says we should get our surroundings clean/clear before we change things on a bigger scale. I've got the feeling, that in many ways you are helping me to get my shit together and clean up my mindspace. BTW the mindspace app helped me a lot to cope with my ADD. So thanks for this recommendation in one of your videos.

Great stuff Nathaniel! It is wonderful that there are vlog posts from a community of people about topics that can bring meaningful change. I have just started a channel and found it to be a great communication tool as well!

3:03 "And let me just say that it's okay to let them go. If they're meant to play a role in your life, they will find a way back into your life. I promise you." I just want to add, that if you want someone in your life, if you want to be in their life, then reach out to them. We don't have to wait for everyone we want to find a way back into our lives, we can reach out. Great video. Thanks.

"Remove the fluff": I'm glad you focused attention on the number of accounts/followers and how we kind of 'accumulate' them in our social media. And I agree with you in every bit about this. I'll be graduating from my UG uni soon enough and there are like just a handful of people that I've literally bonded, with trust and add value to my life and daily positivity in my life. But I've followed so many others just for the fun of looking what they are up to and all, and the number has become hefty & looking at it, I just see numbers, not people and it's somewhat unsettling & I have no idea how to 'remove' them because I want to. I don't even know half the people and I don't want to keep people whom I don't even talk to and don't like (sorrynotsorry). So I have no idea how to go with this or reason it out because if not anything, I've spent quite some part of my life with these people and I _know_ that our relationships won't go beyond that place, but I don't know whether it'd be right.
