You have no idea how happy this video made me. It’s 5am and I wish I could jump on a project right now that I’ve put on hold for so long. This tutorial has opened up that project for me again!

Mine won’t let me insert videos. It’s also fully updated

I’m trying to import a 10 second video and it keeps saying I need to make it shorter? But how short does it need to be??

Elle Ti right there is something better on the Pro - the iPad Pro lets you have more layers per file, so that helps with how many frames you can import into a new file versus an iPad Air. However, if you’re just starting to work on Procreate the iPad Air is much cheaper! Something to think for sure

Do you know if there's a way to import a movie at its original, full resolution? Every time I try to bring mine in to animate on top of, the video's resolution gets drastically lowered :(

Is there any way to automatically get all the frames already grouped so you don’t need to do that manually over and over again?

Yes you can, as far as I know.

It won’t let me import it because of the size so what so I do?

So theoretically I could sketch out my animation in roughanimator (to sync with audio) or flip a clip and then import to procreate for more detailed art?

Lasagna Things This is how I did mine and found it. I clicked the “actions” button which is the little wrench then I went to the canvas option and there was a thing that said animation assist under crop and resize. Then I Pressed it and it was his which is animated!

Go to settings then prefers or canvas and if u see the name hit the little slider thing and it'll show

You need to update your iPad OS and only then be able to update Procreate to version 5 on the App Store 👍

If I had to guess it is based on maximum layers allowed for the canvas size. 15s at 24 frames/sec is 360 layers total. Maybe if you make the video smaller it will help?

you have to go to the little wrench, then click canvas, then there will be "Animation Assist" and you can click it on
