Also check for physical differences, even small ones, in particular on the earbuds themselves. I'm almost completely sure the last pair I got are fake but all the software stuff and even sound quality seemed fine at first. Weight and fine print on the packaging also looked and felt a bit off but the small black grille that's on the back of the buds (they're pros) felt a lot grippier and less flush than a pair of almost surely real ones I compared them to. I guess trying to perform a firmware update is also a way.

I definitely bought fake ones because I only paid 36 usd for it. But it has a legit serial number, shows up in "about" settings, has noise cancellation and spatial audio, and it even charges wirelessly too! I guess I bought "premium" clones haha

Your video safed me, I tried buying new Airpods Pro from a private seller and they were counterfeit. Glad I got to check it out and didn't fall for the scam.

The new Airoha chipset is able to replicate the original, the only give away is you can't move seamlessly between your apple devices. And the weight gives it away however you will need a precise weighing scale for that. But for less than 1/10 of the price, it is actually quite worth it. The base is actually stronger than the original.

Hi, I recently purchased an airpods pro online, had connectivity and mic issues. Went to the apple store to check, turns out it was a counterfeit as the staff verified it for me. The thing is, all the features that you mentioned in this videos do exist on contrary for this counterfeit airpods pro set. Like the column in settings when it was connected, also the spatial/transparency mode on the volume control center. Can't really trust anything nowadays

I’m not sure if mine are real or fake, but everything from A to Z works perfectly i compared it with my friend’s bought directly from apple and 0 differences, the serial number shows up in the about section and on apple website and there is even the warranty expiration day in the settings 😅

You should update your video!! I have fake AirPods Pro that have a serial number that shows up legit and all the features work except auto ear detection. I even called Apple support and they didn’t know the difference. So there is most definitely almost exact clones. The best way to tell is by the firmware. It will be stuck on an older version and will not update

I actually bought some fake airpods pro (they're called Navapods) and they still work fine (bought them 2 months ago). Everything looks the same, same functions and the sound is decent too (I'd say 8/10 compared to the retails). So yeah, clones aren't bad but you need to choose wisely lol

That’s what i was thinking ! I got mines for £20😂 *not* all copies are bad ! I got some airpods a couple weeks ago (states on the packet that they were made in china) and boy they’re beautiful 🙌 , sound is amazing, (i do have the ones where you have to pinch them to pause any media that’s playing) but i give it a good 8.5/10 ! Lost a mark by me only wishing it was a tad bigger *and* i wish it let me know the percentage number left of the AirPods that i own, but everything else is completely well 🔥

Bought mine from target and watched the dude bring them out from the back still wanna check lol

@@arnavverma5399 It does. Everything seems to work, but switching between devices. The fakes I had also had a verified serial and all the functions he mentioned in the video. The main thing was that they couldn't switch seamlessly from one device to the other like the legit ones. I also took mine to Apple to confirm they were fake, since I bought them from an online verified Pawn Shop.

Bought a fake ones of course because the cost 50 bucks .. but they have serial number and they do appear in general.. also I can control the noise cancelation .. what happens is that sometimes they disconnect.

I have real ones and it’s confirmed but I’m paranoid

I have just realised mine are fake, they have all the settings coke up in iPhone, noise cancellation the serial number everything, the only give away with these high end fakes is that the serial number on the box, AirPods is different to what appears on the iPhone settings, when you click on it, the serial number toggles too. So bad.

I bought a fake AirPods Pro that shows in the About section of my iPhone and iPad. So I guess the true way to know if an AirPods Pro is legit is to test the ability to switch among your Apple devices which use the same iCloud account without having to reconnect.

Bought the “premium” copy version. I see the pop-up on my iPhone every time I flip the lid, it lets you even set it up the first time it connects. Sound’s also as good as the original, supports Spatial Audio. Noise Cancellation just doesn’t work and switching to Transparency Mode makes it sound like you’re listening to a local radio station with poor signal, mixed with the sounds of wherever I am. I can also access every single feature in the Settings as if it was original.

You replied to your own video. The problem with this is most of these fakes are being sold on Facebook marketplace so you obviously can’t test like this during the deal. I was talking to one unfortunate soul Who drove literally two hours to buy some what turned out to be fake AirPods and the guy pulled a gun on him.

Hi I hope this help, I just got a used airpod pro, the serial number work, the warranty work. It even show up in the settings app. But the noise canceling didn’t work. I went to the Apple store today as I thought maybe it’s just malfunction and it still have warranty. But unfortunately it’s fake. If you have the money, just buy from Apple or just buy from a trusted source. Hope this help~

Just means apple wasn’t able to confirm your purchase, got mines on Black Friday from a Walmart and all I did was confirm purchase date from my receipt

@@VictorIbelles they actually using repeated SN for all counterfeit. i have 2 friends bought fake airpods from same online seller and both of them share the same serial number and still have "warranty" left about 10 month hihihi. but u can check the apple coverage web to see is the airpods authentic or not at the warranty period. warranty only activated when first u activate the product. i think this is happen because when purchase online people love to share the product serial number. i think this is how the got the legit serial number with verified warranty

4:30 my Costco AirPods 2 showed up in settings. Not bad for $99

I checked in my settings it shows up there but when I try to pair it with it says it’s not genuine AirPods and doesn’t connect directly so I have to connect it with Bluetooth
