Excellent information with helpful details, especially the photos comparing juveniles to adults, and descriptions of the wings in flight. Thank you!
I’m stumped! The hawks by me are sandy grey and cream undersides with the juveniles having a large white patch on the back by the tail. We obviously had a brood this spring-summer because the juveniles are out now and I only see them flying away when I come out to take care of the chickens. They’re noisy, too. The adults have no white patch. I see nothing like them!

Thank you so much for this great video. We just caught a glimpse of a redtail hawk. The adult tail was SO gorgeous when the sun hit it. This was a big wingspan and such an uplifting feeling. We have bald eagles here and each time I see one I feel so awe inspired. Yet, I love all types of birds. So I'm subscribing!
