length of my arms are uneven, shorter left is always stronger and longer right always have to deal with that extra 1 inch of range. when i train with mixed grip my right trap always feel like wanna tear... my workaround is to use straps to make both side even. but without straps, i know it's going to be a very tough problem for u to fix, i've been thinking of gripping wider on my right in order to make them even otherwise i ran out of ideas.. do u have clients with such issues? any suggestions? thanks in advance. great content, keep up the good work. now im gonna go ahead and binge watch all your videos XD

Thanks for following along! We don't have clients with this issue, unfortunately. How did you go finding a strong position?

with straps = i'll just adjust the length without straps = still struggling, i tried using suicide grip with shorter arm but it is pathetically weak. with mixed grip, the longer arm will be the underhand arm (and grip slightly wider, completely anecdote), shorter one will be the overhand arm. but changing grip is really not doing my DL progress any good, so i just use straps for now. new videos are getting better, keep it up!

Any tips to keep the pointer finger from slipping? It looks like you have the same problem, it only reaches halfway over the thumb.

Would you recommend switching even if you have no issues with grip with a mixed grip?

lukeceravolo there is nothing wrong with mixed grip at all, it’s a very strong grip. Try it out if you havnt before, see how it feels, see which one feels better

@@MelbourneStrengthCulture mixed grip can give you a lat imbalance

i have no issues with my mixed grip, have pretty strong forearms and thick callus. but im switching to hook grip mainly because my traps and lats are imbalanced. my left trap is larger than the other and my right lat is visibly larger as well

i also pull double overhand but i noted that on heavy reps (160kg +) the bar "windmills" with the left side going towards me. i thought this only happens with mixed grip, any thoughts?
