Thank you for this video mfjj. I've struggled with target panic for my entire archery hunting years. I can target shoot as good as anyone I know but shooting at animals I've had a real struggle some years and didn't feel like i was jerking or shaking at shot, but i chalked it up to buck fever... I implemented your technique this year and have shot at 4 deer and made great shots on all 4 this year thanks to you...

Holding the palm in a more vertical plane feels so comfortable, though. I guess that's why most untaught archers use an incorrect grip.

Really useful, they don’t teach at my club just shoot and gossip so without stuff like this I’d be lost! Thanks

I have learned more about proper archery technique from you and Joel turner than anyone else, by far. Thank you so much for sharing all this great knowledge. I was never really taught how to properly shoot a bow very in depth at all.

Im a beginner and, Exactly what I was doing wrong! Ended up damaging some arrow fletching. Thought it was my whisker biscuit. Went into the shop and this is what they explained. Made a huge difference!

I have struggled with torque issues for years. This video helped me immensely. I shot holding my arrow puller in my hand and all of my arrows were center on the target. 20 yards out to 60 yards. It was a thing of beauty. Thanks so much for the great tips.

Thanks for another great video! Even though I knew these tips, I decided the next day to pay more attention to my "grip". Made a few adjustments, and immediately started shooting more consistently! Thanks for a great reminder!

MFJJ, love all your videos, always informative and I always learn from you. I think I've got the grip portion of the shot to where I'm repeatable and consistent. New to this sport but when I'm off I tend to be slightly high and right. This doesn't happen all the time, anything I should look for in my shot process? Also I would love some pointers on what to do after the shot has gone off, how to complete the shot. Think I'm looking to see where the arrow has gone possibly and not executing proper techniques on my follow through. Love the channel and all you do for the archery world. Should mention I'm shooting the Tru Ball Boss-X thumb button release.

I shoot from the riser on my powermax With a grip tape strip so I can really feel where my hand is. I need to try holding something. I put a wrist sling on my shot trainer as to not start the bad habit of grabbing it. Awesome video!

Very helpful, I have a question though, can you please make a video about the bow shoulder position, to be specific, the body-shoulder angle, some advice perfect alignment, some advice angled stance. What do you think and what makes the steadiest hold.

I forgot which manufacturer did this, but they machined the grip at an angle, so your hand is already canted while holding it (improperly...LOL).
