How To Hear From God I Season Four, Episode 5

Ойын-сауық

Sometimes communication doesn’t always click. Have you ever had a moment where what you are saying and how you are being understood just doesn’t go the right way? We’ve all been there because communication is a practice we continue to get better at day by day.
The same goes for communicating with God. It is something we grow in every time we talk to Him AND when we listen as He talks to us. How do you hear from God? How He speaks to you may not be the same as how He speaks to someone else.
There are 4 ways that God communicates with us. Listen in as Bianca and Candace break down the strengths, weaknesses, and Biblical examples for each one.
In this episode, you will hear Candace and Bianca discuss:
Different styles of communication and how knowing them will help you better communicate with those around you
4 ways God will speak to us individually - what they are as well as what the strengths and weaknesses for each way are
Specific people in the Bible who are examples of how God speaks to all of us in those different ways
What A.C.T.S stands for + how it can support your prayer life

I am definitely a feeler. My prayer all the time is for God to help me see the world through his eyes, often I feel a God-given empathy for others. This Sunday, I had an experience where during worship I felt God speak to me, “I see you, I chose you. I have a purpose for you.” It was just the reminder I needed 🙏💕🫶

I for sure am a feeler. I can walk into a room and feel the sadness or whatever it is and for sure during church and worship I get the chills only for certain songs I mean goosebumps down my legs and arms, and it takes a lot for me to tear up and cry, and there’s times where I’ve been that moved by a song and the people that are around me. I also want to say thank you so much for opening my eyes to so much that I didn’t know Was there in God‘s word or didn’t realize it. I’m going through a very hard place in my marriage,10 years together, two kids and we both have just done things to each other that not many people would Stay so yes, you are helping and so much ways especially when I have a disabled veteran husband who’s not 100% walking with the Lord and your podcast helps, opens up things and gives me more hope, plus makes me feel like I’m not crazy

I came here to add this: I hear and see people talking about just one, but I have experienced all four. I have experienced the knowing, the feeling, the seeing, and the hearing. I can't say I have experienced one more than others because I feel they all happen roughly in the same amount and I believe God gives them to me as He feels I will best receive them.

I have often thought I'm a descendant of Joesph because my mother, myself, and my daughter have some of the clearest dreams from God (my best friend does too). Questions answered prayers answered, and information revealed through dreams. My 7-year-old often wakes me up at 2 or 3A.M. so we can discuss her dream while it is fresh in her mind. I feel it is a training ground to show her what God is showing her and how to use this gift to help others( we all have a gift of discernment as well). I love that this is one way the good Lord communicates with us! I just found this show today and I love the content, it is refreshing to hear topics that are important to discuss unapologetically, Thank you!

Yes. Sometimes you don't get the answer right away or for a long time and God's timing with everything is perfect and it might be for your answers yes no or wait. ❤️ And he does that to certain people to teach us to keep the faith in him and know that he is still working even when he feels silent and that he does hear us. But it could be him shaping us you know to not only keep the faith in him but patience and other things that we need to learn and these are one of the ways he does so. I hope this helps. And God bless you 😇❤️

I'm a feeler 😊 The crazy thing about my feel is that I feel the presence of the Lord! My heart rate gets elevated and I feel his presence near when i'm singing at church, talking with others, or praying. I've also physically felt the hand of God pushed me in the back to stand up, on more than one occasion. Have you ever heard of anyone having these encounters with the Lord?? I love the Acts! ❤ I use PRAY which I heard from the Roots workbook. Praise, Repent, Ask and Yield. The repent and yield are hard but a blessing. God might answer my prayer today tomorrow or in five years or not at all. I tried to remember His plan is better than mine 🙌

This entire podcast was delivered beautifully and as someone who hears from God in multiple ways, the way Bianca explains it is pristine. I can truly testify that throughout my life I have experienced each of these ways of hearing from God and she does an amazing job at communicating what it actually is like in the physical world because the messages and direction of God is spoken through His Holy Spirit. Candace does an incredible job of taking the role of the voice of the people that need the understanding and asking the right questions. This is such a blessing, I pray you ladies keep up what you're doing. God Bless 🙏 I would additionally add though that it is good to add the scripture into your prayer when you absorb and learn them because it helps to activate the word of God and we dont pray amiss

I'm not sure but I believe God talks to me by answering my prayers. I'll ask God that if He wants me to go in the direction I see in front of me that He puts joy in my heart about it or if I want to leave someone or situation that He has the other party initiate the conversation and He does. I'm not sure where that fits in to the choices of how we hear from God.

In one Vision I had I was 14 and had just given my life to Christ and have had my first boyfriend. I was in a youth camp and we have been praying and worshiping the whole night. By dawn everyone was asleep. I looked up and there was an Angel standing in the door of the chapel we were in. He was majestic, shining with a sword of fire in his one hand. He told me to stand up and open my eyes so I can see. He showed me many things what will happen in my life. One thing I saw was me standing on a big stage in front of a crowd and I was singing and dancing and preaching with children and youth and in the crowd was my boyfriend cheering me on. So I assumed that he will also be my future husband but when we broke up a bit later I was chattered. For many years I doubted everything God showed me. Ten years later I was freshly married to another man and a few weeks pregnant with our first child and it was Christmas and I was performing in Bethlehem in front of the nativity church on a big stage in front of thousands of people. I was there performing a Christmas musical with children and youth. I had the lead role of Mary. At one point I was singing, dancing and worshiping. I looked in the crowd and there I saw my ex-boyfriend who I haven’t seen in years cheering me on and you know who was standing behind him also cheering me on. My Husband. That’s where I remember the vision God gave me and saw how God has lead me through it all till that day! Glory to God.

I feel that I've been all 4 depending on the situation. If I were to break it down feeler- 50%, knower- 30% ( although I'm wondering now if I've felt it and just come off as a knower because I believe it so strongly) and vision & hearing probably 10%. I was in an abusive relationship where I suppressed my feeling down so it wouldn't hurt when I was judged and criticized. So I believe God had to communicate to me in other ways as I did not want to feel out the room anymore. I've been trying to trust my feelings again. I start to question when stuff takes time if I had the right feeling on something. That is hard when you spent 20+ years being pushed down. Thank you for going through these

I am a knower and a recently a hearer. I have just known things and asked people to trust my faith. It can be very daunting at times to know something deep in your heart and get others to understand you know it’s from God. Especially if it doesn’t even make sense to me yet, but I KNOW what He wants from me. Recently, the last couple years when I’m at the depths of putting my faith in him and I say I cannot do this anymore-a song line with repeat over and over again that specifically tells me what God needs to say in those moments. I have also seen literal signs outside or on a car when I’m mid-prayer or something. During times I’m doing trust falls for God. HE IS THERE. My faith is so deep, and I’ve been in such a season since I got rebaptized in 2019. LOVE this podcast. Love you for being bold and brave with your faith. It’s not easy telling our convictions in our soul that He is real and Jesus is amazing. ♥️🙏🏼🙌🏻 I have also been told I am a burden bearer and have had to protect my space a lot. ❤

I would say that I am a hearer and secondary a seer. I hear God speak to me through other people, through songs, words on paper, when I sit quietly for a time and in the moments between waking and sleep. I see in my dreams. God has spoken to me in my dreams and has shown me things. I believe that it is God and I am so, so thankful.

SUCH a great amswer to the listener question. Its a great reminder for me, too! To USE the Lord's prayer as a guideline when we feel inadequate or like we are missing soemthing - not forgetting to THANK Him or think on His character.

These episodes are not long enough. I swear I cannot get enough of Bianca‘s knowledge and I love the two of you together. Please just make her a permanent cohost. I feel like I’m a little bit of everything I don’t really know which one is the primary, it just depends on what kind of day I’m having and where I’m at in life because sometimes I can hear God in my head, sometimes I just feel it and a few times I have had dreams that came to pass in my real life and really freaked me out. This episode was very enlightening as I am in the beginning of my walk with Christ like for real this time and learning so much from Bianca on How to discern what’s God and what myself

I’m a knower. We were having issues with one of our sister churches…our kids weren’t liking church and had us teach their Sunday school class for a rotation. When we were done, they asked us to teach it again. We told them no, but my husband didn’t feel it was obvious that it was time for us to go. Eventually we left, visited many sister churches and obviously could have made out home anywhere since we knew so many people in the various churches. One church welcomed us with much love and needed healing, our kids found friends they knew from church camp, and I just knew this is where we needed to plant our roots. My husband, however, needed a sign (?) we were meant to be there while I just knew that I knew that I knew!

I can definitely relate to a feeler. Once in a deep prayer God let me feel his unconditional love for all of humanity, that feeling never left and is my burden.

I am a seer and a feeler. I have dreams and visions. I have learned that God has created each person a different kind of learner. I'm a visual learner. So, often...not all the time...God communicates with me in visual ways in dreams or visual examples when I'm reading the Bible. I see the descriptions. The deep feeling part of my personality is a difficult way to be because we can be governed by feelings. So what you said about aligning it with God's Word is Vital. This is by far, my *favorite podcast.

If someone tells me that God said “xxxxx” but my spirit doesn’t feel peace I don’t believe it’s from God and if it doesn’t line up with his word I just toss it out of my mind because I’m renewing my mind daily to Gods word

I think we all repeat our prayers often. A big part is we don't see immediate action. I've learned to say those prayers as Thanksgiving, because He heard and is working. Keep thanking Him for the answer, but realize it won't look how we want it to. He will make sure you know it is Him.
