Just saw this episode: We had our home blessed many years ago. We were raising seven children then. Our oldest is 54 and our youngest is 41. We are 79. Our home was cluttered back when they were small and today it is still cluttered…with memories and dreams. We have had a wonderful life and I am so glad we had our home blessed. The Lord’s protection has been a great comfort to us. God bless you all. Love your show.

We Bless our house as a Christmass tradition. Our parents did it when we were little. One of us would do the Holy water my father would do the insence as the rest of us would be resighting the rosary. When we finished we would open the gifts. My father had to work on Christmas day. My siblings and I kept up the tradition and still do

I have Fr. Ripperger's book, Deliverance Prayers for use by the Laity and it's a great book. He's a great teacher. I've learned so much from him.

I do as well, but be careful. That is not a book for everyone to have. I ended up having to return mine, because I made the discernment that it’s not for me. My focus is on something else. But I kept some of the prayers.

We had our house blessed by our priest, had to wait 7 months after we bought it for him to be available. He used water from the River Jordan which we had a vial we filled on our pilgrimage and it was blessed by a Holy Land priest. We got a two for one deal, he blessed our hound dog Elvis as well.

Family and I finally were able to have our home blessed last Thursday and when I tell you what a peace we felt after wow. Definitely loved having father Houston over and kids really enjoyed it. 💯 agree that we need to make sure and make this a regular practice.

Yes!!! Same experience!

It was a mission and a half to get my parish priest to come bless my home. But finally, he came and did it! Only took them 2 years to get to me. 😂 but it was worth it. I can sense things that I cannot see, and I never was able to feel peace in my home fully because of it. That goes both ways too. Ask me about what I sensed when I went to the Vatican and encountered St. Peter’s tomb. Anyway! Back to my priest. When he came and blessed the home, it’s so peaceful now. I just don’t feel as at peace as I do at home now. It’s totally worth doing it!

Lol, This is great! I asked my priest to bless our house. We had lived there for 6 years. He asked, "Is there a problem? No father, no ghosts! Lol (Before that, I hadn't thought of a haunted house.) We have a Holy Water Font at the door that is always used! It was a housewarming gift from our first priest. I Love your podcasts! God bless y'all!

I also think it's important to educate the kids on historically where the priesthood came from, Christ Ordained the Apostles, Apostolic Succession, etc. This is stuff I should have learned as a kid.

I did bless my house with Holy Water with bless salt mix with it. It was bless by a priest when we moved in. I do the blessing during Epiphany each year.

Oh no, our Pastor came to bless our home and I did not offer him a meal. He even anointed my husband who was not feeling well at the time that he was there. I owe him a meal.

I had my house blessed when we just moved in . Years later, I unknowingly brought a cursed object that affected our lives adversely for so long until my daughter realized the object as evil. So I think a repeat blessing is not such a bad idea.

One of the songs I learned in Daily Vacation Bible School was about Zaccheus. I remember to this day, 68 plus years later, the line: "Zaccheus, you come down!" Then there was, "I will make you fishers of men", "Jesus loves the little children". I teach them to my grandchildren.

I love how you mention this. Back in the late 60's I was not yet in school, but my older sister was. She came home from school one day and relayed to my mother the story of Zaccheus along with the song. There was really something endearing about him that we seem to remember learning about him as a child.

As children, we hear a lot of (like Alice in Wonderland's "drink me", "eat me" sequence) this: "You're too little for...", or, "You're too big for...". We feel our smallness in ways grownups have forgotten. Perhaps that is why, as children, we feel the love of God and the gentleness of Jesus more than the grownups. When Jesus says to "Suffer the little children to come onto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven", we smile and think that heaven must be a wonderful place if everyone is like my friends and me. And what a wondrous friend Jesus is if he makes way for us amid the adults. As for Zaccheus, well, who doesn't remember being too small to play with the bigger kids, or ride the theme park rides, or needing a couple of mail-order catalogs to sit on at the holiday dining table?? In my chest of drawers from infancy to when I gave them to my godchild, were two religious pictures. One was Jesus knocking at the briar-sealed door of our hearts, and the other was Jesus asking Zaccheus to come down out of that tree.

Welcoming the Light of Christ into my home by lighting a blessed candle is one way to bless my home. I hadn’t thought to maybe burn the candle during meals, or evening prayers. It is awkward when you have a spouse who doesn’t share in your devotions and beliefs.

Have tried fr but priest never came did have station masses said in my house years ago so I feel it is blessed

In the Philippines we always have our house blessed. Some people even have their house blessed once a year.

Would love to know what scripture is read during the house blessing. I also have a mezuzah on the door post leading into my home for God's protection. Great video guys! 💕

Yes we do have that also, and feel it's so important to keep traditions alive.

Hi im new to the channel, ive learned so much about our catholic faith. I would like to ask, when fr. mentioned about using blessed candles, do oil lighted candles apply? Can a priest bless oil to use in lighted candles and have the same effects? I always have a statue of Jesus the Divine Mercy, The Blessed Virgin Mary and St.Joseph with a lighted oil lamp in front of them. Can i use it to bless the house?. Also does the consecration of the home to the Sacred Heart of Jesus be a form of a blessing? Thanks. Greetings from Malta.

Everyone should have their home blessed, especially after first moving in and then maybe each year. Anyway I think Fr. Pagano looks like John Stewart.

I was taught that C + M + B doesn't actually stand for the names of the 3 kings but it's for Latin 'Christus Mansionem Beneticat' or at least that's what they teach us in Poland :)

Hi! I'm wondering if I should invite a priest to bless my rented apartment before or after I move in. I've heard it'd be good to sanctify the space before I live in it but I've also heard that I should bless my house and all the item in it. That would have to be after I've moved in. Also, I'm planning to have a home altar and that would need to be blessed too but after I've moved in. I'm torn 😞 Before or After? 🥺

Everyone should have their home blessed by a Catholic Priest. Everyone should keep a bottle of Holy Water and use it daily. Holy Water is a Sacramental used in exorcisms. Blessing yourself and loved ones with Holy Water acknowledges you belong to God, it cleanses, heals, remits venial sin, grants graces and drives satan and evil spirits away. You can bless your home, car, work space, etc.

My neighbor just moved into her house and has had so many problems. I suggested she have her house blessed and the priest at her parish won't bless her house. A parishioner told her they no longer do that.

I'm from India and belong the Rosary Cathedral (Church) parish since the year 1990 and currently still am. It's over 15 years since any priest has visited my home to bless it officially and even if called to bless my house, refers me to the house blessing prayer printed each Easter in the parish magazine that the head of the family is to use and bless his or her own home/house at an appointed time, while e supposedly would pray in the church. This is not only for my parish, but being done in various other parishs too. What's your take on this?

How much is a nice stipend to give a neighborhood priest that I also serve dinner when I ask him to come over to bless the house? I think Father Rich said that couple have him $5 but that seems too low! I was thinking more like 20. Is that about right?

Consecration is setting apart for specific liturgical use/function. An Altar, a church, even persons e.g Ministers in the church

Have you heard of The 3 Kings Blessing?

Hello, do you know if Everything Catholic is still in business? After hearing about them on your show I went to their web site and ordered a candle. They charged my credit card 24.99 on Jan 10 but when I contacted them 4 times they have not responded and no candle either. I don't expect you to contact them for me, just wondering if you know if they are still in business and if I should have my credit card company delete the payment.

Advice needed...My son moved to a new area to provide a home for his very troubled half sister. She is having trouble with drugs and has lived a very hard life. My son has recently been scared of his catholic faith because his friends are prodestants. But I'm visiting so and I would love to be able to bless his house with holy water and salt. I feel awful asking this but can I bless his home and her room without his knowledge? He may let me but he may not. I hate to be that mother, but I think it would really help them. He church hops at prodestant churches and loves Jesus and prays often. I hate that the prodestants have scared him about his catholic roots because Catholicism has so many more protections and tools than the prodestants do. And they have been going thru so much recently. If anybody has any advice I could really use it. This little girl (shes 19) has been thru so much and I truly believe her soul is in peril.

Hey. Have your son listen to the Catholic Talk Show (maybe even this episode). Get him a scapula blessed. Have him listen to Fr. chris Alar at Divine Mercy. A picture and prayer card of Jesus and Divine Mercy would be good. Protestants do not have as many traditions.

Some priests in the Philippines bless these sacramentals separately. They have differenf prayers for different sacramentals. For example, for the salt they exorcise and bless after. But some priest do a general blessing for all these sacramentals together. Separately or blessed together, it is our faith that is important when using these objects/sacramentals. God bless!❤️

I want & need my house blessed. I have Exorcized holy water from my church, OUR LADY OF LOURDES. The devil is on the prowl,& so I think everyone should have their homes/ apartments blessed, especially for those coming in & going out , and especially for my children ,grandchildren & great grandchildren. Extensively praying is needed unceasingly in our homes today. In JESUS ' NAME I PRAY 🙏🙌AMEN

To have the house blessed would be very nice. What would be nicer would be a priest. There are three villages fairly close that do not have a Church and as I indicated no priest. There are Protestant churches and many Catholics go there now. The Missionary days have long gone. One thing I did not mention minimal teachers.

When you title your video "How to Have Your House Blessed By A Priest" you automatically disinclude those who do not own their dwelling from having their needs met. Apartment dwellers are not any less worthy of having their homes blessed. Please do a video addressing their needs too..
