How to be busy but not better? Praying without ceasing. Serving my family as I’m called to do as a wife and a mother. Planting the seed of truth in everyone I come across by showing the love of Christ. Praise the Lord! 🙌🏽🙌🏽

I literally just read about this in my quiet time this morning. Shows how even the mightiest and even the people who love God the most still could fall into temptation. Let's get busy people. Praise God.

The part when you spoke about Jesus washing the feet had me in tears😭😭😭 A man who could've snapped his finger and 12 legions of angels could've came to his defense at any given moment but NO Jesus is truly humble and loves us let's repent from sin and love him back🙏💯

I can be busy and not better by studying for College exams, reading scripture, working out, and small groups.

Thank you Alex, God bless you. This came right on time. Whenever I'm casual in relationship with Jesus, I tend to be slothful and I don't want to keep myself busy. Even when all my work is done for the day, I want to stay busy in studying Gods word and knowing him more and more.

I was a fool to scroll past this video earlier, you were totally right, I was being a sloth all day and fell victim to sin yet again. I've repented since and am going to try my best not to edge myself in this situation again. Please pray for me my brothers and sisters. I am really struggling with temptation and really need to be delivered 🙏🏾 I won't give up so long as I have breath in my body

I always say that arguing is beneath me because I'd rather speak in a healthy conversation atmosphere rather than be in the argument. I genuinely appreciate the message because, even if I don't want to argue, I need to be there and do better at maintaining it at a conversation level or walking away to pray or be busy with something else rather than arguing.

I can spend time honoring and serving in my home. Honoring and serving my family. Getting my chores done. Reading my Bible instead of endlessly scrolling on social media. Thank you so much Alex for this Word.

Thank you Alex. I have the sin of gluttony and boredom is my biggest downfall. When I’m bored, I eat. Also when I’m stressed, sad, worried, but God has helped me with that so much. But now, when I’m not moving, I’m eating. It’s such a hard habit to break but I pray our Lord helps me with that.

Commit yourself to prayer and fasting. It will help you, i used to struggle with gluttony but since i started fasting very often i overcame it by the power of the holy spirit.

This is so true. I feel like idleness leaves us wanting, and when we're in want we tend to look for things to easily satisfy those desires as compared to the diligence that is needed for us to find satisfaction in God. I learned this the hard way and am glad God is helping me find delight in Him.

I don't like to use the word busy, because it relates to distraction. The better word is stay active. Meaning focus on the Lord and his word. Doing his will. But great word 💯🙏🏽

You said it man- I need to stop thinking I’m better than doing my homework and working out. I need to stay alert and doing these things because Jesus did so many things that were DIFFICULT and maybe He didn’t want to- He literally died the most painful death possible and took my wrath for me..and I’m complaining because I’m getting an education? I've already noticed this like when I'm busy there is only a few temptation but when I'm not there is a lot and strong temptation. Focused and remembering are two words that come to mind here. I've seen many (and been one myself) that have been busy yet focused on the wrong things not remembering Jesus and His precious promises. Be about your business as the old saying would go, WHILE REMAINING focused on Jesus and remembering all He is and has promised, done, and continues to do. :)

I needed this video, basically just do things daily to avoid sinful thoughts and temptation.

You sent this at an incredibly good time..I use to be so good from abstaining from lust. After I thought I scored great on an exam.the next day I got overwhelmed w my emotions. Ever since then after a few weeks or days I kept relapsing and relapsing. I use to be so strong. I prayed and got significantly deepr w Christ then I did in the past but I just keep failing. I just failed recently...I use to do so well, why is it that temptations suddenly feel 20x more intense then it ever did. Why why why

The writer spoke on how this happened in the Spring, and David risked his kingdom's newly sprung crops (reference to Spring) being taken too as he was not out there with his army. I can be busy not better by, even though I struggle with focus and concentration and discipline, to study for college and to do my homework, and to wake up on time when I am supposed to.

I kept on getting into temptation back and fort. Please pray for me as I do not want this to be my routine, sometimes im consistent but i break it on a another day. I need to be busy and be reminded not to slack and think any temptation. I should hold on my bible when that happens

Double the pride, twice the fall

Work hard at home school, since it is so easy to become slothful and blame it on helping around the house. I must remember the gift God gave me. And waking up early to spend time with Jesus ( and go to sleep early )

That’s the first thing I learnt, being busy will help and disrupt the attack.

Alex talking about how Christ was busy and not better REALLY made me think of these few verses.

I’m gonna get busy living a life pleasing unto God instead of procrastinating and getting slothful and falling to immorality.

Alex, I love the videos you make, the special about them in my opinion, is that they can be seen, understood and listened by even children!! You have a way to use daily life events that happen to all of us, and teach us something about God through that... so it is very relatable. I thank God for you! This question I am about to make, perhaps is a little out of the subject but it has caught my attention and since it is mentioned in this video I would like to ask you: Why, how and what for, would a woman that is married to her husband's boss, sleep with David?? It makes no sense to be married and agree to sleep with your husband's boss... Doesn't she hold some responsibility? Couldn't she have said no to David? When I have a nudging thought... i stop and ask myself what would Jesus do or say about it. That has stopped me from doing and saying things that, whilst humanely speaking would be right... and would have made sense in human eyes... it was not so in God's eyes!
