To be saved you must believe Jesus died on the cross to pay for sin, was buried, rose from the dead and because of His victory over death offers you the free gift of eternal life. The way to receive the gift is to believe in Him as Savior.

How did you stop? I feel it's an irresistible urge, I feel as though every day is just a gamble if God will come tomorrow or if he won't. I just have trouble seeing that Heaven is better than Earth. I'm no Atheist, I want to be apart of God's plan, but I'm so lost and broken. I know that the answer is to seek him, but when I do, it feels artificial. We aren't saved by "giving our lives to Jesus." That is something we should do AFTER we are saved, but salvation is Christ giving His life to us the moment we place our faith in Him alone as our Savior. Salvation is not some kind of cooperative effort. It's a FREE GIFT that is received by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness" (Rom. 4:5).

The word "repent" simply means "a change of mind." With regards to salvation, a lost sinner must change their mind from any false idea of salvation to placing all of their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross. No one has ever turned from all their sins, and trying to turn from your sins to be saved would constitute salvation by works. Of course, God wants us to live holy lives after we are saved. Christians who persist in sinful rebellion after trusting in Christ as their Savior will be disciplined severely by God in this life (Heb. 12:8). God may even decide to take them home to heaven early as He did Ananias & Sapphira (Acts 5) and many of the Corinthian believers who were getting drunk at the Lord's Supper (1 Cor. 11:30). Moreover, unfaithful believers will forfeit eternal rewards in heaven, and they will also be ashamed as they give an account of their lives at the Judgment Seat of Christ (1 Cor. 3:9-15; 1 John 2:28). Anyone trying to clean up their lives in order to make it to heaven will wind up in hell according to the Bible. Salvation is not some kind of cooperative effort. It's a FREE GIFT that is received by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay our sin debt in full, was buried, and came back from the dead (1 Cor. 15:3-4). All we must do to be saved is to trust that His death and shed blood is sufficient on our behalf. The moment we do that, God declares us perfectly righteous, and we are guaranteed to go to heaven when we die. "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness" (Rom. 4:5).

My former partner and father to my daughter, just passed away on the 31st. His passing has been completely devastating and I’m still trying to understand why this happened. My whole life is in shambles, and I feel that I will never be the same. His name was Beau and he found God and was a big follower before he passed. He was very adamant about wanting me to find God too. I believe he wanted me to find him so I could feel the love that he was feeling and maybe we could one day get back together, and marry. But now he’s gone. And I’m wondering why all this happened. I feel him with me. I hear him sometimes. Today I am excepting Christ today. I am changing my whole life and I’m doing this for Beau and for myself. I know this is what Beau wanted. And I’m not gonna fight it anymore. Rest in peace Beau I love you and our daughter loves you.

About to turn 26 and I’ve been away from God since I was 13/14. My heart has grown so cold over the years. I asked for God’s forgiveness and accepted him as my lord and savior. I give someone I barely know credit for planting that seed in my heart. I have grown feelings for her and through her strength in Christ, it allowed me to take the step towards reconnecting my life with Jesus. And it’s not only to preserve our growing relationship with her but to also grow with God first, for my own sake. Because I can’t do this without him. I need God in my life and I feel like I’ve finally opened my heart and eyes.

I am 25 and I had an encounter with Jesus about a year ago. Now I gave my life to Jesus. It has been a long way coming❤
