Glad I saw this. I just added a tee to my clogged home a/c drain pipe today and found about a 1/4 inch layer of gunk settled in the bottom of it.

That sun roof hack is a real deal my parents had a 89 accord and we had a hard time finding out why the sun roof was leaking, thought it was the seals but nothing seamed to work then by chance their mechanic blew compressed air through the lines and it solve the problem

I wonder if a cat sprayed in the sunroof is very possible it goes in to the drain and maybe it will give you that particular smell in your car?. Just thinking!

Just don’t use the brass brush.

If it's hot enough, just leave the ac on put the car in park with brake on and look under the vehicle. Water will be draining out the tube if it's not clogged

Park truck, turn on a/c, look for drip and follow to tube. It's the puddles you see in parking lots, driveways in the summer where a hevicle has been sitting.

Not only does it clean the tube, it keeps the tube happy.

When recharging ac can after can .The system with the oil in refridgerant gets to much over time i believe.Needs to be evacuated and put the correct amount of oil back into the compressor to make the freon flow properly. Am i right. And change inboard air filter as well.

You can also do a Mapplethorpe art exhibit with this exciting tool

So water doesn't collect, seals aren't perfect so they will allow water to come in, the drain allows the water to move away from the sunroof so your roof doesnt rust or so that it doesn't leak inside your car on the headliner.

I ordered the part as soon as I saw this earlier this week. The brush was here in less than four days. I used it on a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado Ltz 22,000 miles. I put it in as far as it would go 14-16 inches at least. Absolutely nothing on the bristles. I did like four times. It always went in about the same length but still nothing on the brush. Am I doing something wrong, or just looking for a problem that’s not there? Drains fine a/c seems okay.

That is a blend door actuator. The blend door actuator is stuck & or gone bad on whatever side or area is blowing heat when it should be AC. They can be easy but most are a total pain in the ass, just depends on what you drive. They aren’t cheap but if you go to the junkyard then you can put a couple in your pockets and then you’ll have backups plus you’ll get to know how & where yours is at and how easy or hard it is to change!!! BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR!!!!

@Sweet project cars I have an A/C question ok I have an 2002 Lexus Gs300 and the issue I’m having is when I start my car after it sitting off for a few hours and turn on the a/c it blows hot air and if I push the a/c button I will hear the compressor turn on and off so I know it’s working but it still blows hot air. Now I have taken it to a shop and had it looked at and guy said it was low of freon put it on the machine and charged it but I’m still having the issue. But now when I drive the car and get the rpm up to 3k the air starts to blow cold from then until I shut it down over night so do u have any idea what could be causing this issue?

It's the vacuum lines going to your blend doors, you need to take it back to the shop and have them check your blend doors and the lines that go to them. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching and asking, have a great day and all the best on your project my friend. mad Mike the hammer SPC
