Well Stated. One Question I have is how to address when a spouse doesn't fully listen and talks when his/her spouse is already speaking and feel interrupted. That's something I dislike and see it as a pet peeve.

It is definitely worth having a conversation about how you feel. The key is that you remain calm and express how you feel when you are cut off in a way that isn't accusatory. Set a common goal of you both being heard and understood, and remember that you are both on the same team. We have many other videos on our channel that deal with communication, as well. Plus, there are several resources and an online course on communication on our website www.awesomemarriage.com.

It’s opposite for us my wife is more how he describes a man I am more how he describes a woman. I want to go deeper have intimate conversations but my wife even says she just wants to “be”. I want more communication but she doesn’t. She is afraid of being vulnerable etc.

We hope this video is still helpful to you. Even though the roles in the video are more common, you're definitely not the only couple whose roles are "reversed." Praying that you are able to have those deeper conversations.
