People love talk about themselves. Every human have a strong desire to feel important. All you gotta is ask them questions abut things they care about and be genuinely interested in them. This could also be a good or bad thing because it might become annoying to just listen to someone talk all the time.

Not always true, yet a strong point nonetheless. You can be looking at your phone but giving full attention to the words someone speaks, and they won't feel recognized and suspect you're not really listening. Being genuine IS the best approach.. you have that figured out. Just remember, there is a disconnect between how we feel things are, and how we actually look to the people around us.

I think one big advice that is left out that shy people need to hear is that in order to keep a conversation going, you have to live your life. You have to go do things with your life or you will not be able to add your "input" into conversations.. So go get hobbies. Go try different foods that you have never tried. Go watch plays. Visit cities, countries, etc.. Learn about things that are popular so that you can have an opinion. If you just sit at home and watch KZread or tiktoks, that is all that you will be able to talk about. If you have nothing to say, it's because you don't have a life. Once you have a life, finding things in common with people will happen more often.

I always like to have conversation. So, I'm almost always the one who starts the convo. I tried as much as I can not to be self-center so I always start with their things and talk about them. But you know, it doesn't work for me. Although I am welcome and willing to have a good time chatting with them, they just don't care. They don't want to explain it further except Yes/No. Sometimes, don't even bother to answer my questions. I get that some ppl don't want to talk about personal matters but I just asked light and small things. Sometimes, after they ignored me, they start a convo with an another person. Is it because they just dislike me? Is it because am I trying too hard? I tried to be as nice as possible. But feels like they don't value me because I'm too easy and cheap.

Cringe
I actually zoned out while listening, unintentionally, apologies, I’m actually terrible at having conversations, and when I do, I upset people.
People love talk about themselves. Every human have a strong desire to feel important. All you gotta is ask them questions abut things they care about and be genuinely interested in them. This could also be a good or bad thing because it might become annoying to just listen to someone talk all the time.
People with disorders that have trouble with human interaction are gonna have a field day with this one-
Also some people get too focused on trying to look like their listening but if you think about it, if you actually listen you won’t have to try to look like you are 👀

U can talk u don't have to use the f word to get peoples attention, the minute u do that, people can lose interest, in what else u have to say.

„Laugh. People like to feel like they‘re funny.“ Girl, you didn‘t have to call me out like that. 😟😂
I was once on a date with this girl and the conversation got so silent that you could hear crickets on the background, so I asked her "How's the weather".

Thank you so much!! I’m super awkward and I hate talking but bc my mom hates not socializing, she makes me socialize.. this should help me avoid dry convos! Thank you again!!
This girl is real af, thank you so much. I think I needed this.. wait yeah, I needed this a lot. 💯
“LAUGH” me: * teary eyed* ok
the energy in this video gives me the how to flirt scene in jumanji
To me what makes a difference is : show emotion and care. Showing emotions changes a conversation soooo much about anything and like smelling a sun seeming excited etc when talking about something exciting. I used to be paranoid of showing emotions but it made conversation so dry
me: so, how are you? friend: my dog died me: nods and laughs
Me, a person with autism: *desperately taking notes*
Damn I have been doing all this without even knowing.. pro-tip asking people questions about themselves is literally the winner
Also give more than one word answers. So many people give the shortest response possible, which makes it hard for other to piggyback on the statement and keep the convo going
Also another important thing is: ask open ended questions instead of simple "yes or no" questions.
I’ll always just ask a question and then let them answer because if they actually want to talk to me, they’ll ask me a question back. So the key to a two sided convo is to wait for them to ask too
Some of the best conversation advice I’ve heard in general. Shit like this really helps autistic people like me
Questions. Input. Expression. Pretty on point
Live it. Learn it. Love it.
I laughed when she said laugh 😂😅
I thought this was going to be click bait videos, but this is actually solid advice
This lady is speaking the genuine truth. And for that I acknowledge that 👏❤️
for youtube to push your shorts you gotta make sure the TikTok logo isn't there (ps you give out great advice😌)
Speak what’s on ur mind don’t over think just vibe simple
I think one big advice that is left out that shy people need to hear is that in order to keep a conversation going, you have to live your life. You have to go do things with your life or you will not be able to add your "input" into conversations.. So go get hobbies. Go try different foods that you have never tried. Go watch plays. Visit cities, countries, etc.. Learn about things that are popular so that you can have an opinion. If you just sit at home and watch KZread or tiktoks, that is all that you will be able to talk about. If you have nothing to say, it's because you don't have a life. Once you have a life, finding things in common with people will happen more often.
LaUgH LAUgH!! 😂😂
Thanks for the tip! I've always wondered how other people talk so mutch when they talk to me,, now I know how to do the same,, thank youuuu

Consider autism like I did
I always like to have conversation.
That's actually some solid advice thank you- I kinda took notes
Yes teach us how to trick y'all And call us toxic liars. Never gets old

It’s not rocket science. Ppl can’t hold conversations because they don’t rely on trust themselves, they are to busy thinking about how to keep a conversation they it ruins everything. It’s not really about what you say but more like how you say it. Be right with yourself and you’ll focus and hold a convo. Being yourself had a deep meaning. We say we are ourselves but we aren’t most the time

These are great tips. Thanks
You are the ultimate bestie and an human! ❤
I'm not interested in conversations, I'm interested in building a life with someone
actually I am a introvert yes, but sometimes I try to get out of my comfort zone, today, I talked more, like laughed and expressed myself more while talking yeah! I'm afraid of showing myself much but today since the boys were misbehaving in our dance class they were sent back to our classroom, while the girls were made to do some cartwheels and all, walkover and stuff, and ik that but I didn't wanna show, but I decided to do it and honestly I actually felt so good, I even helped a friend of mine (she's new to me) and talked with her, during lunch 😁😁
I strive to channel this chicks energy
This is awesome!! Great tips! Love the passion and energy conveyed too 😂🔥
Instructions unclear I now own a soviet era typhoon class submarine
Good ‘tricks’ but i believe at the core of it all, we have to be more present in the moment when conversing with someone and listen attentively, with that u tend to ask much better impacting questions… It will take some time to perfect this however
I recommend taking an improv class too. It helps a lot with being in the moment and getting out of your head
istg i love ppl who just ramble and dont stop talking, i honestly js like zoning out and listen to them go “and then asyshrnblahlablablabalblabla”, the only con is when they ask “so what do you think?”
As someone who isn’t good at convos, this is totally true.
Me: watches this Also me: wondering how many times someone has laughed at one of my stupid jokes to keep up a convo
I needed her advice when i was in high school 😅😂
