Well sir, another wonderful video. Thank you for sharing. I like your channel b'c you seem to work on Road Kings of the ilk I have. I purchased my 1st RKC (2006 Inj. w/38,000mi) from an original owner in 2021 (early Fall). The bike was great looking and mostly mechanically sound. The speedo didn't work but I wanted to replace it w/ the new version 600 LED light scheme & tack speedo anyway. I changed the speed sensor as well and she's working fine now. The gas gauge didn't work and I tried the pump assm. but, although the schematic shows the float included, it didn't come in the kit and had to send it back. I replaced the caps w/ the Blue LED Harley version and although the LED's do come on, they all register at ignition and turn off one by one , leaving only one of 5 on perpetually. Even when the tank is 1/2 or full. I have a fuel sensor unit on order but it's been on back-order for 3 months now and the new ETA is May sometime. :( I did several preventative maintenance actions (oil, trans fluid, new gangster whitewall tires & balance, LED Headlights & Fogs, new windshield & tinted the lower 1/2. Lastly, a brand new 1-1/4 diameter Lindby Magnumbar) w/ the help of many of your video's !! Thanks BTW !! :) I'm glad to see the care needed for the air cleaner in this video as well. But, I sent it in for a for a 40k service to Cowboy's HD (Beaumont, TX.) Great dealer btw. I'm actually a Louisiana boy in Leesville, LA. and Taboo HD in Alexandria, LA. is only and hour away. But, I wouldn't send my worst enemy there. I like Cajun HD in Lafayette, LA. but they are 10 min farther than Cowboys so , there's that. I do business w/ both and happy they are w/in 2 hours of me. Anyway, Cowboy's thought it was a wonderful bike that was taken care of well. They confirmed the guy I bought it from was the original owner, complimented me on the up-grades I made and gave me a T-shirt & a couple of poker chips for me and my riding partner (Doc, w/ his new, used but only 1 owner 2017 Street Gliude) He's a 21 yr Ranger medic vet w/ 9 combat tours. One tough hombre and president of our III % riding club. However, they did find the clutch plates were shot. I had an idea they might be b'c after riding about 6 mi the bike would try to seize or bog down and struggle to move when letting out the clutch. It would change gears but struggle to move. The plate were getting hot and seizing to each other. Once cooled I could drive it a bit again. WE CHANGED THE CLUTCH PLATE ASSY. and been on several small 3 or so hour trips w/ zero issues. I'm one happy camper as they say :) If you have a t-shirt, and /or can get me any white longsleeve XXL t-shirt w/ colorful logo from a dealer near you and their poker chip, I'd love to send you the fee :) Just a thought and don't think twice if it's too much trouble :) Thanks again, Sincerely ........................ Never use compressed air on the air filter, and you clean it from the inside out, not outside in. He's only pushing the bad stuff deeper into the filter.

That sure is a small air filter for such a big engine! Looks like it could use a bigger air box and filter like maybe a big sucker or something!

Too much oil in the engine ( DOES NOT) cause blow by . Only 1 thing causes blow by >> COMPRESSION leaking by the piston rings to the inside of the engine , in other words the cylinders need bored and/or honed and new piston rings . The other thing is , when the pistons travel up and down the cylinder , on the down stroke it creates a pressure threw the engine , on the up stroke it creates a vacume >> this is normal engine ventilation for any piston engine . Harley chose to use the very low profile head breathers inside the valve covers , the breathers are not tall enough to allow enough room (not tall enough) to allow proper separation of the oil and air before it goes to the air cleaner , now add piston rings leaking to that (actual blow by)and you have a real oily air cleaner problem , its that simple . A donaldson oil bath air filter is a good example of what Im talking about , the air comes threw the oil in the bottom and up threw the tall metal mesh wire where it separates the oil from the air and then the air goes into the intake . You might be surprised how many harleys are running around with leaking cylinders and scuffed/scored cylinders , it only takes about a cheap 10.00 dollar bore scope from ebay that works with a phone and/or lap top , down threw the spark plug holes looking at the front and rear of each cylinder for scuffing/scoring . Or check the compression , anyone having EZ start cams can not check their compression . A oil build up on the Tmap sensor from the above can ruin your engine , it controls the injectors and amount of fuel (rich or lean) along with the temp sensor . Now do what ever you want , you paid for it .........

Only trying to help. I have noticed a lot of people put too much oil in their motors. What happens I believe is the check valve bleeds and then people put more oil in the motor thinking that it's low on oil. A lot of people let their bikes sit for weeks and months on end. And this allows the oil to bleed pass check valve. This give you a false oil dipstick reading. Thank you for watching in your comment. You are right on the money but sometimes, other things that go into the equation. Ride safe and have a great day. Looking to hear from you again.

@@TwoWheelRocco You said ( A lot of people let their bikes sit for weeks and months on end. And this allows the oil to bleed pass check valve. This give you a false oil dipstick reading.) Thats true , my 06 1200C sumps like that all the time , any bike that the oil tank sets up high on it will do that , and your suppose to run the bike some then check the oil , but , that has nothing to do with what I explained earlier , concerning blow by , ventilation of the engine and the head breathers . Like I said before , you might be suprised how many are running around with the rings leaking compression into the engine block , unstable jugs that even distort when torqued down and that includes using torque plates , also running around with oil pump returns not working correctly causing oil sumping in the engine block and causing the engine to run extremely hot and that type of sumping includes bikes like my ultra that has the oil tank on the bottom of the transmission .
