hi! i tried this about 3 times already and it didnt work. my problem is that i need to reset my phone because for some reason i cant access my settings it keeps saying 'setting keeps stopping' i dont know why if its possible that you know how to fix that i would be entirely greatful

you missed to mention that C type cable has to be plugged in, else it will never ever enter in recovery mode..

After hard reset when asked for password use Google account instead to unlock the phone
