"Up and away from you." In 4 years of leatherworking and watching videos, NO ONE has ever told me this information. Thank you so much!

I've watched a lot of these vids as I get started and I've gotta say, this is probably the most thorough and well done I've seen so far. Kudos.

I learned how to saddle stitch from a previous video of yours and it's good to see an updated and extremely beginner friendly video. Looking forward to seeing more of your projects and videos.

There are several well-produced videos on saddle-stitching, but this one is now at the top. The King, if you will. Nice job and thanks for the great info

Recently started an odd job with my friend because I was tired of security and I found upholstery. I’ve never been passionate about any craftsmanship but I found something I got the learning bug for it’s been a long time since I felt this way.

By far the BEST saddle stitch video on You Tube. Your closeups are crisp, unobstructed and very clearly articulated as you're walking us through the lesson. You have exceptional skills in videography. :)

Great video Ryan, one thing I learned after ruining every wallet I made in the first few months was you really need a good solid base to hammer your pricking irons on. I was doing mine on a desk with a punching mat and the irons almost always went in at an angle, when I moved to a solid worktop my irons went through straight every time.

I still have the leather keyholder that I made in craft lessons in 3rd grade (in 1983). The thonging has lasted an amazingly long time, considering that I have taken no kind of care of it whatsoever. You have inspired me to actually investigate sourcing the gear I need for leatherworking. Thank you!

Excellent reminder video. Discussing the different types, sizes and thickness of thread and irons is often overlooked in other videos.
