Those felt thimbles are called Bindis and cost less than a dollar at an east indian store in case anyone was looking...
The nap tip (which way to use the thread) was awesome, I didn't know that, Thank you so much Jill for sharing your knowledge and Thanks FQS for the videos.
Thank you so very much for the close up view of your stitching. It has made it easier on how to do the stitch. Also for not going at a hurried pace.
That needle threader is amazing.
Thanks so much! I'm sewing sculptures for my class and I was very confused about the applique technique, but now I can do it :)
Thankyou so much!! This really helped me with costuming
Love the close up and simple explanation. I think I may enjoy this technique better than machine stitched applique! Thanks for sharing!

I think it would be more relaxing.
Thank you so much to show every little thing in detail
How are the applique pieces sticking to the background before they're sewn? I didn't see any pins, but they're definitely not moving or falling off when she picks up the square. These are terrific videos & she uses an easier method than the classes I took.
Stunning!
you have very clear and easy way! Great
Thank you so much for this video! I am having a hard time putting a small detail on a cape that i am sewing. This would work really well. Thank you!
Such perfect folds
That threader is so awesome
Thanks for tutorials. Happy New Year!
Thank you for the close up view of tucking in the flag. This was just the instruction I need for my applique. I ordered a cotton fabric paining of the Nativity Scene, and the person cut it through the middle of the scene! I need to piece two images together to make a complete scene.
So helpful!!!
Kimberly, never mind I went to your website, and found them...lol Thanks, anyway :-)

Thanks for watching Santee! We basted these pieces down with Appliglue. Be sure to watch the Applique Prep video here: How to Prepare Applique by Jill Finley of Jillily Studio - Fat Quarter Shop
Can I do this when sewing appliqué to power mesh? Thanks
what if the pieces are laser cut and there is no fold to come up through?same way but just stick to the edge?
How does a needle cause a burr on the thread when it never touches the thread?
How did you baste the pieces? the Prep video said to watch the next video for basting instructions and It didnt get there.

Those polka dots can easily be substituted with bindis. It's easily available in India and any Indian store across the world.
Is there a video about backing and using batting?
