God does not want you to fear him in the sense he can make you vaporize in the most painful way possible, while slowing down time to a halt so you feel every part of It. (God can do whatever he wants, stop your heart, turn you into a turtle, etc.) He wants you to hold him to the highest reverence and understand his grace in giving you time. He told Adam and Eve directly he regrets our creation, and he's ready to start over. He's giving us time to change out of pure love for us, that Is grace. Out of sheer humility he noticed his old laws were too complex, so he sent Jesus, rebuked the old testament and gave us a new law that's so simple a child can follow. It was basically him saying "you have hurt me, you misinterpret what I've said, so I'm going to make it so easy you can't mess up" And he's still watching us mess it up, yes including those who think they are saved. Jesus came for the sinners, not the saved 🙏 Remember you are always a sinner, it is Jesus who makes you pure. If there is hatred in your heart, even for gay people, you need to check yourself in with Jesus. He didn't teach hate or contempt in any way, I can promise you that. Only towards the pharisees for being heretics

@@wolfgangk1 how do you mean? Because at a glance, I think you're missing what he suggests/is implying/he means. But I get this COMPLETELY I am afraid of God. But I don't live in fright at the thought of God. Instead, I live in fear for Him. Profound fear. The type that I ought to have as His child. Remember He is of Peace, and a sound mind. It's the fear for Him, that we are to live in. Not fright. Unless, the moment comes when we are about to give in to temptation, then we can recall how frightening our God can be if we are to heed to whatever it may be. Also, fright when you PRAISE Him for all your human capacity think of Him to be. Also, based on the Bible. (I hope you understand the context of fright.) Just as Eve and Adam ought to have remembered before they took a bite. Actually, they needed fear. Not fright, as I assume you suggest. Then, they hadn't known our God could be just. The fear would've caused her to reply the serpent in a way that would kept it off. Just as St. Paul encourages us to always have an answer and reply in situations like that and more... I think in his letter to the Romans. So yeah... But please, bear in mind that Our GOD is too much to not acknowledge

@@ActualFreedom The notion of you (and others) having to FEAR GOD is triggering. I wonder why. You need to spend more time in the Word and less in your thoughts. I'm sure Ananias and Sophia didn't FEAR GOD when they tried to deceive the church. God's warnings throughout the Bible was directed to people of Israel, just not the "bad people" (non-Christian) Jesus said to THE CHURCH of Laodicea, "...So because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to vomit you out of My mouth!" and I'm not supposed to FEAR GOD, but instead reverence him if I'm lukewarm because He didn't really mean what he said, he meant... said the serpent. You know the truth, but you (and others) are choosing to believe a lie and God will give you over to that lie. I'd fear that (or was that too a metaphor)

Hey Michael, I believe that you mean well and are trying to encourage people, but I noticed some biblical inaccuracies in your comment and felt compelled to help you. Before I do that, I commend what you said about the fear of God for it is true. The 1st inaccuracy is the statement that God told Adam and Eve that he regretted our creation; in the Bible he said this in his heart in Genesis 6:6, not to Adam nor to Eve. The 2nd inaccuracy is that God saw the Law of Moses as too complex or that he rebuked the old law in order to make a new one; Jesus fulfilled the Law of Moses perfectly, and now all born again believers have the Spirit of Christ which empowers them to live the same way(Matthew 5:17, Romans 6:11, 1 John 4:13, John 14:6). 3rd inaccuracy is the phrase, “Jesus came for sinners, not the saved,” for if all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God(Romans 3:23), who are the saved apart from Christ? The answer is no one, for all are saved by faith alone. The 4th inaccuracy was these 3 strange sentences about hate. God commands us to be like him; he hates sin but loves the sinner. He perfectly loves everyone but hates the wickedness they do. (Genesis 1:1-Revelation 22:21) I hope you embrace this with love and understanding as our heavenly Father embraces you, God bless

Will be praying for you. Don't fear the Lord in the worldly way that the devil uses fear as a weapon to steal, kill and destroy our joy. The fear of the Lord is the utter love, respect and confidence, and humbleness of our heart that we have for our Creator, as a little child respects and loves our parents and knows that they know what's best for us. Our Creator is our Father and loves us so much, He had to send our Big Brother Jesus Christ to take penance for us so we may be forgiven and connected to the Father again (after Adam and Eve's/humanity's fall) and He wants to spend eternity with us. The thing the devil that wants God's children to do is to stay away from Him, working on our emotions and lying to us that the fear of the Lord is a bad thing. It's not. It's reverence to our Creator. Don't let the devil or your flesh tell you to keep away from theultimate source of peace and comfort you could have here and forever when we are all finally reunited in Jesus' return. ❤❤❤ Blessings and peace unto you. The Lord let His face shine upon you. ❤❤

Dear Pastor John Bevere! I pray for the Pastor a lot, there will be no more time! God will return very soon.May God Reveal to the Pastor in a dream or any other way! On the last day, Jesus said to keep the commandment: 1 Ti-mô-thê 6:13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; 1 Ti-mô-thê 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Jesus came not to give up the Ten Commandments, but to fulfill them: Ma-thi-ơ 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Jesus Himself told us to keep the Sabbath because it is related to the end of the world and must be kept until the end of the world, when trouble comes we must also keep the Sabbath this is the command of Jesus - cents, we must not forsake the fourth commandment Ma-thi-ơ 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: Ma-thi-ơ 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Ma-thi-ơ 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. The final battle before Jesus returns, the dragon Satan will fight, going to kill those who keep God's commandments: Khải-huyền 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Why does God tell us to be patient with His commandments? What characteristics show that you are one who patiently keeps His commandments? We keep the nine commandments and the fourth will be called patiently keeping His commandments. Only then will He set apart and protect us, lest we drink the pure wine of His wrath. Khải-huyền 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, Khải-huyền 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: Khải-huyền 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Khải-huyền 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus God established the Sabbath for all mankind, not for the Jews, or any other organization Mác 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Jesus kept the Sabbath all His life, He told us to do what He does, and we will do it. ‭‭ Lu-ca 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. In the last day Jesus will destroy the lawless and Satan will do all kinds of miracles to make people believe, Satan will attack and kill those who keep His commandments. ‭‭II Tê-sa-lô-ni-ca‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬-‭12‬ ‭ Jesus said that we (know Him, we love Him) must keep His commandments: 1 Giăng 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Giăng 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. God did not abolish the law, but He came to fulfill the law. Let us be like God, knowing that man cannot keep the commandment, but we cannot give up either. Try to keep it and ask God to help us keep His commandments. Giăng 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Giăng 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. This is the command, the highest authority of Jesus, that reminds us to proclaim this truth as the testimony of Jesus. Ma-thi-ơ 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Ma-thi-ơ 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Ma-thi-ơ 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Sorry for the letter that hurt everyone, I love you all! Send this letter to Pastor John Bevere! help me.Thanks!

Aside from "permissive grace" and other licenses to sin, how am I to be holy because He's holy, if I can't get past this hurdle? Hello :) First of all keep praying about it. But believe that you are free once you have prayed. This is key. You cannot pray and then keep perpetuating in your mind that you still have the addiction. Proclaim in your mind that you have mastered it. Then you need to understand that in order to really grow the key is to study the word. If you study it EVERYDAY and meditate on it you will naturally transform. What most christians fail to do is to understand that your relationship your obedience has to be nurtured everyday. You need to be CONSISTENT. each day you need to equip yourself with prayer and the word. And if you dont study everyday the word will vanish from your mind. I am sure you must have noticed that. Then you need widsom. You need to work on your addiction by being wise. You can try to read books like Atomic Habits and also study the physical reasons behind your habit. Ask god for guidance. I have prayed for you. Be blessed ❤remember : the Word is your most powerful weapon : it is not about one time reading or just repeating verses during your prayers, that is useful yes but it is about CONSISTENT studying and meditating.

I used to be like you till I started reading my Bible. I was asking myself the same question too. And then I started reading and it did not take long for me to start fearing the Lord. No spiritual growth will happen if we do not read our Bible CONSISTENTLY in order for the Word to truly become deeply rooted in us and for us to know God. It seems obvious but as Christians it is an advice that we neglect to our greatest loss. And that is a way through which we, not Satan, deceive ourselves : calling ourselves Christians, praying but being spiritually lazy, not reading our Word. I think the Old Testament particularly should not be neglected. Personnally I think reading Genesis and the books of Samuel is good. This is how I started with it. But obviously people have different opinions but reading the book of Samuel increased my fear of the Lord, and I did not just read, I made sure I understood by reading some commentaries and sermons that refer to the stories to make sure I get the message.

Distrust gets in the way of love and distrust is derivative of fear. When we distrust each other we start making malicious tactical plans against each other instead of working together. I am agnostic but if there is a god you should not fear them. If god would torture you for eternity (or allow for you to be tortured for eternity) then how can he love you at the same time. I don’t want to argue with anyone, just trying to free you guys.

He doesn't torture anyone for eternity. If you don't want nothing to do with your Creator, He's not gonna force you to be in His presence. So you go to a place where He's not there. I don't believe in eternal ongoing punishment because that isn't Biblical, and usually used for fear mongering. The devil and his minions and the unsaved who hate God will be thrown into the lake of fire and become ash never to be reborn or anything that resembles life again. That is His ultimate act of mercy.

"God-fearing" means being so terrified of being punished by the invisible-man-in-the-sky, that a "believer" will never do anything to incur the wrath of the mythical supreme being. It's a laughable term, and it describes the ultimate motivation in the fevered minds of religious people: FEAR. What an embarrassment to happily admit that your relationship with a non-existent god is based on FEAR.
