How to Grow Multiple Branches in Adenium Seedlings || 3 Tips
The video shows how to grow 11 adenium branches by a single cut. Only 3 unique tips are there to follow to make adenium bushy. The video is clearly divided in two parts. In the first part it shows the examples of some small adenium plants with bushy canopy. It first shows a small adenium plant that has grown so many branches. We applied the 3 tips on this plant and now you see the result. Some other desert roses with thick canopy are also shown. There is also another plant of one year and three months old. Friends, if you watch the full video, you will be amazed at seeing the result of this three tips. As for example you can see in the video a 2 years old adenium.
Now the 2nd part starts with a one year old adenium plant. Remember that a one year old adenium plant has more feeder roots and more strength to grow more branches than a 45 days old seedling.
Tip No. 1 :Let your adenium seedling grow freely for 1 life cycle year. The plant gains a little bit fat caudex in a year.
Adenium`s excess water and nutrient are stored in the caudex.
Tip No.2: Cut as close to the caudex as possible. Cutter must be sharp and sterilized. Now the water stored in the caudex evaporates from the cut area. But what will happen if we can stop evaporation of water after cutting? Water will create an internal pressure to find out openings. As a result the bud nodes
will burst into new shoots.
Tip No. 3: Cover the open cut area with grafting tape or a piece of plastic. Applying fungicide is not necessary. Only follow 3 precautions: 1.Keep the plant in bright shade for a month or until new shoots have grown enough. 2. Always keep the soil moist. 3. Remove the grafting tape / plastic after 10-15 days.
Now the video shows the amazing result presenting a desert rose that was cut only 15 days ago. The grafting tape of the plant is removed and it is found that 8 branches have already emerged and there are clear signs of other 3. So we have got 11 branches by a single cut.
