Been using these CoCo blocks for years. I love them and it works great. Great storage over bags and you get about 70 liters grow med. out each block.
I love the rain gutter grow system. I've replaced my Dutch buckets with this system, I love the set and forget (almost) concept
I love the rain gutter grow system! I’m using it for my tomatoes and 1 pepper plant, but no hooch buckets (I’m in the United States lol). but I’m using grow bags with coco and perlite. they are fruiting now! YAYY!! I was hoping to 3d print the buckets, but… I’ll have to wait till I can get my hands on some of teh hooch buckets! From what I can tell, with all the videos and such, they are going to be amazing for a variety of ways of hydroponicing! :D ❤🌱
Hey Hooch, the coco root balls look like a prime candidate for inoculation with edible mushroom of sorts

Damn, what a great idea!
Fantastic results! I'm really going to have to play with this style of hydroponics in the future. I use Kratky for lettuce and am experimenting with basil and brassicas this year in Kratky tubs too. If I could grow tomatoes and peppers in that rain gutter grow system, I'd have it all!
Champion! Great results. Great videos! My kratky is up running, my nft has just been ordered and buckets look like they will make up a nice ballance to the nft.
If i may, when buffering the coco it's imo the best moment to inoculate it with beneficials - especially if the coco was steamed, it will elicit the systemic resistance, and some of them won't stay in the rhizosphere - since inoculation can be done foliar - and will compete with pathogens too, so it could be a preventive solution for bacterial spots
I love your videos. I am excited to grow hydro and aero ponically
Another fantastic video! I thought they darkened when ripe but it looks like what you harvested were all red and left the dark ones on the plant.
Hey Hooch, been emailing you on the various addresses,no luck yet, we are keen to get in touch for some of your Hydroland products
Amazing ! I love your videos ❤ thank you😊
think I'm gonna buy a mixer now 😂

Vibrating 😂toothbrush How cold was it at the harvest? I always prune the bottom third of the vine , I hear that also takes care of the disease 🙏🏼
keep up the great work!
Looks epic!
nice job hooch. would you try a rain gutter nft system/autorefilling powerless nft😂
Hooch’s, you got my hopes up with the reversible legs for different gutter sizes and mention of versatility for gutter sizes found in the US. Will international distribution depend mostly on finding a distributor here in the states?
Are those buckets available in the US? I would love to have a set

..... I bought one of those coco blocks..... yeeted half of it into a 5 gallon bucket, threw some water in it and now I have a new gardening chair 🤓 DONT DO WHAT I DID, IT TURNS INTO BEDROCK THAT AINT GOT NO GOLD😂
You've become the go-to hydro pro mate! I had two questions, but you answered the first with your taste test! Second question, do you need to flush the system now and then? Or is there never a detrimental build up of salts?
@Hoocho
2 ай бұрын
As far as I can tell the salts don’t ever build up enough, but all my greenhouse stuff is generally a single grow. The longer lasting plants are outside and gets naturally flushed with rain.
@dertythegrower

pro grower using these 5kg cococoir bricks for years.. you will get salt build up. Always flush and retest runoff for ppm levels above 700 or you can burn most seedlings (not the first run but multiple runs, always test runoff water for boosted salt ppm levels)
What's the ETA on the coco coir at hydroland?
do you leave water supply always on, and the float valve regulates the height, or is there a wet and dry cycle? Thanks.
afaik not all plants need the same strenght of nutrian solution. how do you manage dat? it seems you only have one system and one water circulation. how do you keep track of ur nutrians and how often? is it already digitalized with sensors? :D
Damn your plants are slowing up? I’m on the sunny coast, and I _start_ my tomatoes now, otherwise they get singed by the heat. Do you continue growing toms over winter? and have you had any success with them in your area in summer?
What do you use to treat the bacterial spot?
Awesome system, 1 question I was under the impression you needed perlite for A wicking system in order for aeration or is mixing in perlite only necessary if you're growing outside where rain can drown your plants.
@Hoocho
2 ай бұрын
I’d recommend using perlite. But I wanted to control the conditions for this test.
Nice love tomatoes. Do you chuck the spent plant root balls into the cement mixer to recover some of the Coco or is it not worth it?

I always reuse, till something goes wrong 😅
You always use that song (it's awesome) so I only have one questions. Are you the King Gizzard or the Lizard Wizard?
what PH and EC are you using here??
Noted all tomatoes shown are of the cherry varieties, Are these buckets not large enough for normal sized tomatoes?
@Hoocho

These are medium sized, would handle full size fruiting as well
