African Pride works perfectly for me. Especially the leave-in cream. It softens my hair and makes my high porosity 4C Coily hair rich black and moisturised. I use Aloe vera juice too. My hair loves it! And I have my own blend of oil which has helped my hair become thicker and I grew an inch while in braids and massaging every day. Thank you, lovely young lady!! Everyone is different. My hair would not grow for over 50 years of my life. With a combination of nutrition AND certain oils Now it’s growing down my back from using essential oils on my scalp, mixed with castor and other carrier oils. AND certain organic oils and creams on the strands. My hair is now growing down my back in my late 60’s. I was a hard case because my hair never grew as a child, so I didn’t think I had the genetic “signature”, if you will, for growth of hair. I’m not saying anything to dispute. I want to encourage black women to not give up on your crowning glory! 👑👑👑…and yes, water 💦 water 💧 water💦 ❤️🙏🏽🥰
Personally, the Cantu leave-in conditioner (the shea butter formula) is the only leave-in conditioner that my 4c hair LOVES!!! And I've tried soooo many leave-in conditioners in my 4-5 year hair growth journey. It's crazy how products work differently on everyone's hair. But I would say, if you have the time and money, see what products work for you. Cantu wasn't for your hair but for some people like me, it works perfectly.

My sisters, try Keratase hair line. I stopped shedding, my hair is soft after each deep conditioner and the products do what the company says. It is a high end L’Oréal brand. If you are trying to be cheap, try Mizani. Mizani is also owed by L’Oréal and has same ingredients or similar to Keratase. If you don’t like Mizani, try L’Oréal professional brand. Same formula as Kerastase at a fraction of the price. Please stop using Walmart or beauty supply products if you want good results and hair growth.

And you are so right girl, summer time if it's humid or raining I won't straighten my hair bc as soon as I walk outside it rebells and goes back to curtly with in minutes like it's angry that I tried to make it sleight lol. I do do a deep conditioning treatment every time I wash and that helps alot too, I started doing this about 2 yrs ago and I only wash it bout once a week sometimes it'll be 2 times just depends what I'm doin day to day(I have a horse so ever time I go to the barn I end up having to wash sooner than ide like even if I have it up cus of all the dust and dirt n stuff) other wise I pretty much stick to once a week! I do put an argan oil in my hair almost everyday too and that helps with breakage alot too! I'm so glad I found your channel you have a forever subscriber!! I think sometimes we get frustrated with styling our hair because we’re trying to manipulated into something it’s not and that will naturally be more difficult. Braid out, twist out, rod sets. They are all manipulative hair styles. Once I learned to love my hair the way it grows out my scalp it was a game changer. Yes it was one of the more difficult things I’ve done with my hair but it was worth it. I moisturize my hair and that’s it. No “styling” needed.
