Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aronia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love Aronias!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are sooooo nutritious, and can be very tasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So few folk talk about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have 5 plants of varying varieties. in SE Portland. It is such a survivor, I adore it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so very much for this great info!!!!!!!!!! I find what you say about them to be true. It is validating to hear it, as there is so little info about Aronia. Mine are sweeter when I give them more water, but they can get by without and do not need a lot. I am a raw foodist, so I love them raw! I am so happy that you are so leading edge!!!!!!!! Blessings :)

I have the Viking verity I planted two years ago it got fruit this year me and my kids loved it raw it reminds me of prickly pear with a bittersweet taste. I thought it was the same thing as chokecherry when I planted it I haven't had to do anything about it I forgot about it it gets very dry here I never water it growing in sand soil and no afternoon sun thanks for sharing more information on these maybe I'll plant more around my other trees I'm growing cherry in the same area and again I thought it was a cherry when I planted it but I'm even more happy with it now that we have gotten fruit from it.

Suggest: get a long branch with a root part Very easy to grow:mine grew in wood chips, not fussy…I will meld this with elderberry juice..! Use xylitol instead of sugar & add big lemon. Maybe next year will add echinaceas root…

Question: what is the best way to prune these? I have two of them that are almost 3 years old, and want to take care of them and prepare them for winter and get the best out of them next season. I got about 1.5 lb off one bush and 1 lb off the other - not bad for year 2, but I want to make sure next harvest is even better. (We’re in zone 6, about 2000 ft elevation, if that helps). Thanks for the video, and for any advice you can offer!

@@ttb1513 I don't have good luck with raspberry. My best plants are seaberries. In heavy soil it will not sucker, but in light soil it can be a problem. Deers don't really like them. They are big in size, fix nitrogen and can be planted close to each other. The berries are full of vitamins. It is quite thorny.
