My wife is a retired groomer and is addicted to watching you now that she is physically incapable of doing it herself. Her last day of work she had to go to the ER to get her scissors cut off her hand. Her arthritis has just ruined her hands. She says you are one of the most talented groomers shes seen since school. Good on you, madam Croy.

Wow, I am so so sorry to hear that. You tell her, that is why I made the www.dogupstand.com because those groomers who tell me "I don't need assistance" "I have a helper" or ones I've seen at conventions, who say, "my hand is fineeeeee".... I'm like "be honest man" it's not "FINE" we ALL know the wear and tear it takes to do this job (like a barber and barbress too) and it's a lot on us. One day, I'm not going to be able to carry on either, so my impression on the groomers, I hope, helps many. Thank you for your story and sharing the REAL! Means a lot to me!

I’m in training of becoming a certified dog groomer and your videos really help me. I watch them every day. I love how good you are with them ❤️ thank you for these videos!
Dee, I’ve been watching your videos for several months now. I’m an animal care technician at a shelter in Connecticut and everything you’ve taught me has really helped me to help make my longer haired, matted, neglected dog and cat friends more comfortable and every time they leave the table, you can see how much they appreciated getting their painful mats removed and cleaned up. They look and act like new pets afterwards. Every time I have a friend on the table I think of you and you’ve helped me make more of a difference. This video really hit home for me. Thank you so much for everything. Boo looks beautiful!!! Her demeanor changed so much from beginning to end - she came in panting and stressed from her transport and became so calm towards the middle and end. I’m saving up so I can get some clippers and gear from you that are geared towards grooming and not just surgery prep shaves.

LOVE!!!!! I’m in the rescue field, I knew I enjoyed you before watching this video......however, now I’m completely hooked!!!! There’s so many special things about a rescue baby, and something as simple as a haircut or even a good bath.....can change their entire demeanor. I love how gentle and diligent you are. You say, it’s not about making them pretty at this point, yet you make them look so pretty because your a perfectionist. Thank you for sharing this!!
That funny position boo did with her leg when she was on the dog upstand is what we refer to as "kickstanding" in our house. Too funny 🤣
Looking forward to Boo’s next grooming visiting video, can’t wait to see what her haircut will look like. Congrats to her parents for adopting. She appears more terrier like than poodle mix.

I'm starting my journey into grooming and your videos are so helpful on proper mannerisms for handling and technique. Thank you so much for posting such quality content!
It warms my heart to see you doing a straight up rescue dog it really does i LOVE all rescues. Your a doll!
I'm not sure if it is appropriate to comment like this 😂 sorry if I say something wrong. I'm a depressed person with anxiety disorder as well. I found your videos and I know that you're a veteran and the way you care for the dogs you groom, how you work hard to get an income with something that you really passionate about without being influenced by money and fame, and his you just being yourself and your courage on telling owners that they need to brush their dog every single day different parts a day it's just really inpsiring and really help me a lot. Sorry if I'm weird :( I'm not good in communicating. But it doesn't stop me from sending you this message as I want you know you have made an impact in my life and in my healing. I'm currently on rehab at home. Unable to work nor go out. I rescued a stray pup on a road side and she is now with me for 3 weeks already and she had been me so much to cope with my depression. I wish I could save more animals and I really love your videos and it really do helpful and entertaining at the same time. Thank you Dede :)

I rescued a Maltese mix who had been on the streets for at least 3 years and was full of flees & ticks plus very sick! With TLC and vitamins, he’s beautiful now. He’s the most grateful, loving dog & so happy to just have a home! Please rescue these dogs!! They seem to know that you saved their lives & make great pets 🐶
Such a patient, calm sweetheart. I hope she found a loving home.
You are so good with all of the animals in your videos. I really appreciate the care and love that you give these animals.
Love the transformation of dogs like this! Boo is too cute!
She's such a good girl! Thank you for such a kind and caring groomer! It helps restore my faith in humans.
I would have snatched this dog up if I could have. I'm sure she has already got a forever home. I had a rescue dog that was so great! She lived with us for 14 years. She was 16 when she died and she was such a part of our family. Rescuing is a very worthwhile thing.
Great groomer! connects with all the dogs without resorting to baby talk to entice a dog to behave like so many of us. Lol. Dede got mad skills. Love the transformations.

What. a. good. girl!!!! She has to feel 100% better with those mats gone!
You do such a great job and I cannot believe how quickly you work! I love that you let the client know about her front left limb soreness and ear infection too! If you don't mind me saying, I love that you took samples of the stuff in her ears but it had cleaning solution on it. If you take a few swipes of the "gunk" before you start cleaning then the vet would be able to analyze it. This is coming from a place of love btw! Not hurtful criticism. I was a vet tech for years and when dogs came from the groomers with already clean ears but previously had infections per the groomer, the vet always wished that the client or groomer hadn't even cleaned the ears so that he/she could get an accurate sample to run an ear cytology. I hope this can help in the future!
Wow, you're amazing. I don't even have a pet but I really enjoy watching you groom these animals. You're kind and patient and thorough. You work very well
She seems alot more happy now. And she looks so much better. Nice job!

Ive been watching a lot of grooming videos and you have such a light touch and you are quick!!
I enjoy watching you groom you are so kind to the fur baby and explaining what you’re doing and recommending :)
Once I get to have my own place, I would love to save and adopt a dog from a shelter too! 😊❤
I love watching your videos. I don't do grooming but I love animals and I like to see their new looks. I grew up with 2 schnauzers and my mom learned how to do a schnauzer cut when they were young to save money. By the time I was 11 or so, she had taught me and I groomed them too. :)
Wow, great job on Boo!! I have chin poo. With a curly tail though. That looks like her!! And he is the same temperament!! She is such a very good girl . Those clients got a little blessing in a fur baby!! Very sweet dog for just being rescued and traveling and grooming. That's a long day!! And she was adorable in the end!!
My old dog had these absolutely wonderful groomers who cried when we called and said that he passed away. They were so good with him and he even liked their dog (he was a smaller dog and got attacked by bigger dogs so he did not like dogs). Thank you so much for caring for dogs and customers this much. We go to the same groomers for my new dog. They love him as well.
What a transformation! She's adorable! love those floppy ears
Awww she's got a lovely temperament though! Such a sweetie.

I’d love to see some more videos of dogs that get groomed regularly and don’t necessarily need to be shaved. Like how you might do a maintenance groom.
I love watching anyone who takes pride in their job and strives to do the best at whatever it is - you can tell you are that - keep it up!
I have been following your videos on U-tube on matting and grooming and I am very so impressed. You are fantastic and do a wonderful job. I will share with my friends. We all have dogs. You are so professional and are so nice to the dogs. What entails on the basket . You’re great!
Boo seems much more alert and "with it" I hope she feels as good as she looks. A new hair cut and a new home and good parents....A new life for little Boo! Im so excited for her. Great work Dede. *the front paw looks a little oddly shaped and some what swollan*
I know you will never see this but you do amazing work! My mom had a chow chow she just left tied out all the time, wasn't allowed in the house. This was my dog from childhood and after I moved out my mom would just feed and water her. I was not allowed to take the dog because she paid for it. I would go and groom my Sweetie 6 times a year and I felt like it wasn't fair. She would get matted so bad because no one would even pet her. I hated seeing her matted and sunstained, she was an amazing dog and fully house trained. By no means am I claiming to be a groomer but I was the only person who could get that close to her.

This is yrs past the time you groomed her, but I love your approach to grooming and feeling out the animal. I love how you handled the rescue dog and made her easier for the new parent. Getting a kit together and throwing in some shirts was so kind. She was so pretty in the end. Poor thing; you wonder what she went through yet she's such a good dog!!!.🐕🐕🐶🐾🐾🐾🐾🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

she does a very thorough and excellent job
I have only (so far) watched this video. Besides being interesting on how you handle the dogs, your sort of firm, matter of fact manner is comforting to me. I do not have a pet so I watch all kinds of dog and cat channels from rescue to graphic operations and the animals getting forever homes. But I have not watched the groomer vids.....like the others these really relax me from my anxiety, depression, and some agoraphobia. So when you make your vids, know that you are helping people in ways like myself in addition to instruction and sharing your pro knowledge. Thank you so much for your sharing.
Thank you for being so patient with her! She must have been so scared!
