Thank you. Last time i gravel vacd my planted tank i lost a couple fish. I've been lazy and haven't vacd the tank in a couple months. My plants are really starting to grow now and i was wondering what to do. I have just gravel about 3 inches in a 60 gallon - no root tabs. Should i add anything else to the substrate like sand etc. Appreciate the tips. Cheers!

That's a South African Afrikaans accent, very hard to shake. Yes, people have thought I am Dutch, Scottish, Polish, Aussie you name it.

Newbies... Be sure to pinch the tube somewhere with a finger... Or slow the flow at the outlet somehow, until you know what you are doing.. It is very easy to slurp up sand or plants by mistake. 🙄
