    I am planning to be an exchange student in Japan and i'm worried because it's going to be my first time. One of the people that worked in rotary visited our school and introduced their program. I got interested and checked it out. I want to go so bad so i'm planning to go on the upcoming Rotary meeting. Do you have any tips on how to live in a country as a first timer including how to manage money?

    The conditions in my country are not that good, so it would be great if I get a scholarship to anywhere The colleges around here are really great mostly, but they're not many, they're hard to in and if it isn't public, it's really expensive (the public and the private have almost the same level) And high school in my country is REALLY BAD. I actually study in a private school with a partial scholarship, but I don't have too much hope for the future So I'm applying to every scholarship I know and your video helped a bit, thanks

BTW the question is can I still go to abroad even when I failed, I know that's a dumb question but plzzz reply.

    Well presented. Your sharp, preppy attire makes a nice impression, and don’t ever change your eyebrows! I’m wondering where most of the foreign exchange students studying in Poland come from? I’m guessing mostly from Russia, Germany and USA? Btw, your mic is fine… the sound quality is very high and holding it like you do is attractively artsy and minimalistic. Request: A behind the scenes video on how you organize, film, and edit your vlog would be very interesting!

    Loved the vid! I had few doubts regarding exchange programs and it would be highly appreciated if you could help me with it. Firstly, I'm planning on going on an exchange to usa in te senior year of high school (year 12). It's because I'm gonna do university in usa. I'm a bit confused because here where I live, students "choose subjects" in 10th grade. They follow these subjects in 11th and 12th. It's like a concentration in college. But I've heard it's not the same in USA, you're gonna need to focus on every subjects. So, like how am i gonna do a transition to grade 12 of American high school after attending 3 years of high school in a different nation? Also, do exchange students get diploma from American high school if they do year 12 from there?

  • @NatalieMatz

    @NatalieMatz

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hey! Sorry for a bit of the delay responding. And well, most of my knowledge about American high school comes from YT, Neflix and conversation with some friends, so I'm probably not the most reliable source of information. Anyway, firstly, I think everything depends on whether (or how) you pass SATs and official subject tests, because they are more important than the high school diploma, which just means you finished the school. SATs and other tests count when you apply to uni. I talked more about this in my video about applying to different countries for uni, so you can check it out: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qI6AzY-Qh5iug6Q.html So, don't worry too much about your subjects, because I guess that they will know you're an exchange student, and help you out, and then, you probably know some stuff that is being covered there. Lastly, all of it depends on what college and high school you want to go to, what subjects you want to take and whether you already did SATs or not. If you have more questions you can DM me on insta, but I will be more of an emotional support than information-provider hah. I hope it helps?

    @ilmabintehasan5125 @lamgladysz1 Do not give up hope… If you are from outside the U.S. and would like to come to the U.S., I recommend checking out the KL-YES program. It is a fully funded scholarship for high school students living in countries with significant Muslim populations to come to the U.S. and promote peace among countries as well as stand as an ambassador for their country. If you are from the U.S., there is KL-YES Abroad for American students to go to select countries with significant Muslim populations. And just like the YES programs, YES abroad is also a fully funded scholarship. The YES Programs and YES Abroad are both funded by the U.S. Departmemt of State and Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. I highly recommend looking at these to see if you would like to go with them. It’s a really great organization to be with. :)

    First, sorry for not replying before. The biggest problem with answering this question (and the one you asked below) is that there is no universal program for teenagers moving to study in another country on their own. You need to find a program (like Rotary or IFU) or a school (like Aiglon or UWC schools) that are meant for international students. So eligibility criteria depends on what they say and it's not the most transparent process. Usually you need good grades and something that will make you stand out like competitions, interests and knowledge.

  • @NatalieMatz

    @NatalieMatz

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yes and no? They are free but it's not like you can just come there and enroll. Like for example you can find a fantastic public school in London but there's not really a system for you to go there unless you already live there. They are not meant for international students, that's the thing. I also search for info on this but there's not much, you need to start by being registered as a resident there

    No, it kind of depends what you want. If you want to go somewhere for a year, you'll kind of have a gap year in your high school. I know people who did it and they enjoyed it a lot!
