Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Wyoming Gun Company's Gunsmith Geoff demonstrates the process of Glass Bedding a Precision Hunting Rifle to an HS Precision Stock with an aluminum bedding block pre-installed. He walks us through his process to ensure the proof research barrel and Remington 700 bolt action receiver have a clean and precise bedding to remove all the play during the amendment processes.

So you squeezes all that epoxy into the threads ? And usual those hoses goes through the action all the way where barrel threads are and u just epoxy those threads ? That's going to be fun to take that barrel off

you could have shown more of the milling process honing out the stock. i would liked to seen your finish and exactly how you achieved machining it out with a small end mill cutter.

Some people tape the front of the recoil lug. Is the a reason you don’t do that?

Why wouldn’t you torque the action screws? I was assuming it would be best so you can replicate the fit with proper torque.

My approach to bedding has changed slightly since making this. I no longer even wrap the bedded rifle with surgical tubing anymore. I found it squeezed out too much bedding compound as it's setting up. Screws are only finger tight after setting it in. Provides for a much better result and then the screws are properly torqued for final assembly. Thanks for watching!!

A stress free bedding job is what you want which is the reason you don’t want to tighten the screws down tight. I only finger right the crews.

You didnt bed all along the sides of the action to prevent movemen further enhanceing the job . Even snugged that reciever will distort slightly defeating the purpose of stress free bedding . A dial indicator proves my point . If you say its a hunting rifle not a target job i remind you targets dont bleed . No pillars either so it wont ever truly be stress free or consistantly torqued . You are capable of far better than this . Sorry.......
