Some Tips: keep a note for the answer you write to people, all in one document in word, so you don't have to look for verses translation, hadith, etc.. you will have 200 or 300 pages!! and you search it with one click to answer. and you can adapt the answer and personalize it a bit, it would take you to answer a person literally 30 sec. in the initial dialogue, later when you get to more details (meaning he or she is interested by asking and asking) it will take you a min or 2 (with experience and knoweldge that you accumulate from answering). At the beginning it will sound a lot of work, but later you will have answer to all their questions. Key point, is "invite to the way of your lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching" many know this verse, few are patient and apply it .. Remember: if you get mad and answer bad, you punish the image of Islam to the other casual researcher who read your answers. So it is utterly bad to punish a whole group and teaching to get even with a mean insulting person.. let others compare their manners and your great manners.. many convert/revert have said in their stories, that they were writing bad things about our faith, but later seeing the niceness and kindness of the Muslims changed mind and soften.. It will not work on all people, some are really mean, but we are only reminder, that is our job.

Brother Mohammed, I feel like I'm in the same boat. Looking at these speakers and these lectures really makes me feel down as I don't know anything. However, it's never ever too late to start. Never give up on the mercy of Allah SWT. We have to realise that we have to start from somewhere and keep it consistent. We have to put in genuine consistent effort to learn and we will improve ourselves that way. If we are always comparing our lack of knowledge or skills to anyone who has been practicing for a while, then we will never feel the motivation to learn or succeed.

But as per your question businessman lies to make profit so they can't be trusted and muslim's only intention is to get reward but do you know that lieing or cheating someone is the biggest sin in islam then how do you think can a muslim get involved in a great sin in order to get a reward which is later going to be nil..its same like trying to fill water in a bucket with hole..do you get what i mean? And lol yeah you don't need to take shahadah just because you lose to a question..Shahadah should be taken only when your heart is convinced with existence of one God :)

They are doing so not only for reward but for the love of humanity as all are born from Adam and Eve. So if you know the truth, wont you want your whole family to know it too. And wont you want to save them.from eternal hell fire? Thats what all prophets did and we follow their path. The reward is not asked from the people but its upon God in the hereafter. And just by delivering the message we get reward God willing as reward is upon our intentions. Just like when a person saves somebody s life, the reward is the last thing on his mind. He does it just to save his fellow human being's life. Hope that answers the question and hope it brings you closer to the Truth. If you have any further questions, please dont hesitate to ask. estrella fugaz When you say that there *must* be understanding, do you mean you have to understand all the reason to fulfill a commandment? The Quran says "there is a good model for you in Abraham and those with him... " and Abraham didn't question the sacrificing of his own child and neither the child. Remember islam means submitting your will to Allah. But to try to reason with unbelievers sometimes you may find a wisdom behind some concepts and sometimes you don't find it, but its there for someone to uncover it one day. My allah bless ya, remember this, this is faith.

First I ask Allah to reward you with a great reward for trying to look up the answer for your question. You can answer generally by "that's a very good questions, but I believe in order for you understand the answer you have to understand the concept of islam. Do you have some time for me to explain?" Even though you might not know the answer but by saying this you'll give them the foundation of islam like Tawheed, Prayers,...etc. Hope this helps

i have read quran & hadees iam a hafeez myself. now let me tell u onething frankly my grandfather was a wahabi muslim he was against hinduism since his childhood & one fine day he had a dream of one divine voice who started calling him to a shiva temple at midnight my grandfather went straight to the temple where he could see Lord Shiva in a meditation form & said son ur chosen to be a Hindu & gain enlightment he immediately accepted Hinduism & also preached Hinduism to all his friends & relatives who accepted Hinduism slowly the entire native accepted Hinduism . He wanted his ashes to be sunk in Kashi & we did it . Its time for all you muslims to be enlightened now . Accept the truth brother before its too late .

Apostates are killed all the time in the Muslim world, indeed the Hanafi, Shafi'i, Makliki, Hanbali and Ja'fari schools of Islamic jurisprudence all agree that apostates should die. Why? Because Muhammad said it. And if Muhammad said it, Muslims are obligated by the Qur'an to obey him. The fact that you are saying "this is hadith, not Qur'an' indicates to me that you either a) don't agree or b) don't want me telling people the truth If you don't agree they you are not a Muslim as you are not in submission to Muhammad. But if you simply don't want me telling people? why aren't you proud of this aspect of Islam? I thought it was the perfect religion? Read the words of Jesus again above, see how beautiful they are. There is nothing to be ashamed about in the words of Jesus Christ.

you dont want to rush the answer and also want to leave room for more discussion and enough time for the reciever to think about it. most people will give the repetitive answer , it says in the Qu ran . i feel its almsot like you are a robot instead of a human being. how well you communication leads to success in Da wah. Some people dont know how to do it

The fact that it took over twice as long as he says he thought it would shows that he is either dishonest or unprepared. Given his overall slickness, I have no doubt about which it is. Anyway, are you seriously suggesting that the whole spiel, including a convincing explanation of "the bases of Islam" could be done in 2 minutes?
