Hey - just wanted to mention, you can actually do this without a cart and on many maps on many different spots. Just place a building somewhere elevated above some ground and you can place a teleporter exit under the building. Ironically there's actually a spot for exactly that right next to where you demonstrated getting stuck with the cart, placing the sentry on the small rock near the cliff to the left. This is however a nice fast method if the cart happens to be in the right place at the right time. People did - back in the day - used to do this with teleporter stacking, getting stuck in their teleporter and build up speed then just destroying the teleporter, but placing buildings on-top of one another was patched. However now-a-days you can still place teleports under already existing buildings, people just haven't really realised 👍.

reminds me in portal 2 speedrunning when people trap themselves to build up insane momentum to bounce to the top of really tall levels

Soldier has Rocket Jumping, Pyro has Detonator Jumping, Demo has Pipe, Sticky, Cannon, Trimp and Caber Jumping, Engineer throws an additional hat into the ring with the new "Cart Jumping", alongside his classic Sentry Jumping and Bullet Jumping.

Hyper-Speed Wrangling would be a good name, since it reminds me a lot of the hyper-speed tricks from SM64 (e.g. Hyperspeed walking, hyperspeed punching, ect.)

I was gonna come up with a name, then you said "Sentry Cramming" and I really like that one. FWIW, how about "Potent-ry Energy" or just "P.E. Jump" (Potential Energy) or because you merged man and machine: "BattleMech Jump Jet" or "Cyborg Launch"

It is the market gardener for engie especially on Hightower. That's all I used to do, build a tele and sentry, stand on the tele, and bulletjump off of that. I'd hit the skybox half the time, but when you land on someone you'll do 105 dmg. You can even do if from spawn and reach their spawn if you wanted to.

idk if you can still do this because i havent tried in forever, but it used to be possible to essentially get yourself inside of a dispenser and use it as armor, was a great strat for heavy if you were working around a friendly engie's nest and it starts to get overwhelmed, you could just slide into his dispenser and use it as armor to tank even more damage.

The coolest part about this is that grabbing the sentry is what's triggering the effect is picking up the gun, so it's a free lv3 rollout as long as you live.
