Your video and step by step are a life saver! I couldn’t find your USB drive you recommended but I bought a 32GB Kingston 3.2 and made sure the format was FAT32. It didn’t work at first but like everyone else said eventually after I would say 5-10 tries it went through and finished! It really sucks this happens but keep trying, good luck!

Hey man! If I could buy a drink I would! I’ve done the update flawlessly to my mother-in-laws 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it worked fine. I used a different usb than I did for my sisters new 2014 jeep and I got stuck in the loop! Went and got some off-brand non san disk USB and it worked!! She was crying and everything I was like I’m sorry I’m sorry but all better now thanks to you! Cheers 🍻

That’s what you would think 🤔 but somehow it’s the consumers fault it gets stuck in a boot loop. Then we have to pay to fix it 🤷‍♂️

Had this issue today when i used a pny usb flash drive. I wish Uconnect informed us which usb to use. Anyway I went to Walmart and brought an onn 32gb flash drive. Followed all these step and on the second try while driving to my father in law house it finished updating and started working fine again. Thank you for you help, I almost brought a refurbished unit.

so I decided to update my system a couple days ago and got stuck in the boot loop. I watched this video vaguely and tried it with no success (missed a couple things). Took it to the dealership today where they said you need a brand new head unit. I said absolutely not because I have read so many success stories on fixing this. Tried taking it apart and putting it back together… nothing…. Tonight I watched your video again. This time I followed it step-by-step. 15 minutes later my system is working again. Thank you.

Tried a Kingston 32gb no luck, and can't find the mflash brand on Amazon.

Thanks so much you saved me from going to the dealer for my chrysler 300. I believe making sure its formated with fat32 made it work.

Glad to hear that. The dealer was absolutely no help when it came to mine. I did eventually get a refund from UCONNECT.

@@TruckingLife were you under warranty. My Jeep Grand Cherokee is having the same issue and I reformatted the flash drive and nothing.

@@whosaskinaquatics opened a case with uconnect they replaced the unit outing warranty at no cost.

I followed your directions perfectly but still having the same problem 2015 Chrysler 200

I’m experiencing this with the same car, can you share how you eventually got it fixed??

my problem is internal the 3g card not working or they called sierra wireless and was stopping at 11.72 , will not update because this issue , but i did fixed my 14 jeep cherokee by taking off the unite and take it apart and using heat gun and applying heat on the chip , after that i got it back as before and updated again and it did work .

What fuse did you pull for the screen? I’m having the same issue and I don’t want the screen on all night

Help!! I tried to upgrade ours yesterday and didn’t format the usb and it’s a lexar flash drive. So, this happens. Our screen is on boot loop . Says wait 2-5 minutes then says please insert update usb. So frustrated,I can’t find the Uconnect fuse on our 2016 dodge larami 2500 cummins diesel.

went to the dealership to have them update the guardian uconnect firmware, the managed to get it stuck in "recover mode" and just shrugged thier shoulders and told me to have the warranty company purchase a new one, takes about 6 months to get a replacement. went to the website and it just tells me theres no updates available.

I have a 2013 ram with uconnect , and it’s been stuck in a boot loop , problem is when it was updated it wasn’t updated properly but when I go on uconnect for software updates, it says it’s already updated. Do you still have the file for the most recent update that you did on your ram , and would it work on mine? I have been in a stand still for so long and both uconnect and the dealer give me the run around and I have no way to get the software.

I do. It’s on the USB in my truck. I kept it in my center console just incase mine did it again.

sorry im having trouble with my jeep today I thought you had to unzip the files before you put them on the drive? Do I leave them zipped?

@@ravengilliam2736 I finally got it to work everyone seems to think leaving the usb in will drain the battery but the first time I left it in the car overnight the next morning it went through on my way to work. Hope this is helpful

I was able to fix my boot loop by checking the downloaded files against the listing they provided in the instructions. The 18.45 update did not have to downloaded docs correctly labeled as .bat.exe .log. Once I updated the files to add that it worked. Hope this helps someone!!

Did it work?

I get stuck on Unit 2. After that goes to 100% it just restarts the update. For anyone that has a 2015 Durango, the fuse for the radio is under the passenger seat with the battery. Stupid but it is..

@@melissar1311 it has to be a USB that can format to FAT32 if I remember correctly. So you have to plug it into your computer and do a full format. I can't remember which one I used. I don't even know where it's at tbh. But look up online USB FAT32 capable. If I find it I'll let you know the brand

I’m sorry to hear that. I’m no mechanic. I just posted what I did to fix mine. I home you get it figured out. I know how frustrating it is. Sorry, wish I could be more help. Maybe someone else know more. I did have to try it a number of times before it took on mine.

@@TruckingLife Update:. The system was fried after trying so many times. I called and complained. They had us take it to get diagnosed and the dealership agreed it was the software. They are installing a brand new Uconnect courtesy of FCA. 😊
