How To Get Your First 100 Sales On Etsy in 2023
Getting the first 100 sales on Etsy in 2023 is still just as hard. I've been lucky enough to learn how to consistently get the first 100 sales from following these three tips. I hope this can help you get to your goals faster as well!

In this video I talk about getting your first 100 sales on Etsy in 2023. Etsy as a marketplace hasn't really changed. It's still just as possible to get your first 100 sales fairly easily, and the best part is you don't have to pay for marketing! Here's how:
First: You'll need to have a customer perspective. When you're thinking about your store, does it look promising, or does it look like a ghost town? Having poor product images and only a few products will mean potential customers are going to run from your Etsy shop. The goal is to give the impression that you're an established business, and just getting started selling on Etsy.
Like if you're "established somewhere else online", and just getting started on Etsy, that's a completely different vibe from being completely new to selling online at all.
Second: You've got to let the sales come to you. When you're desperately looking to get a quick sale, it totally comes across in your listings and your shop. I would focus on making a super good looking Etsy shop with lots of great products (establish a catalog) before running a bunch of ads and making posts on Facebook and Instagram. Try to drive organic traffic. It's only $0.20 for a listing fee, so take advantage of the millions of daily customers that are ready to buy, and just provide good products for them. The customers come to Etsy ready to shop!
Third: Always follow the 3 basics - Keywords - Images - Customer Service. If you work on these three things specifically, even with everything else forgotten, you'll be successful.
1. Keywords on Etsy are super easy to find and they'll drive the traffic for you. (Especially when you're posting 20+ listings!) Having more good listings with great keywords will drive traffic to your listings that eventually convert. Remember, millions of people come to Etsy every single day.
2. Images are the brand, marketing, and most importantly the first impression potential customers have of your shop. The keywords get you in front of people, the images convince them to buy. These two things alone drive the sales. (the more listings you're posting the better you get at understanding listing images)
3. Customer Service will take care of its self if you're just treating every customer how you would like to be treated. Respond to customers quickly - handle issues - and make any problems with their orders right (don't just take their money and run). Go above and beyond and you'll get the first few reviews right away which will add to your social proof, driving more and more sales, which will get you your first 100 sales and far beyond.
I hope this helps! Leave feedback in the comments, and let me know what I should talk about next!

I'm thankful your channel was recommended to me. I feel so much more prepared and positive after seeing these videos. Keep up the good work!
Man this is the 3rd video I’ve seen from you and I already learned so much! Totally inspired me to create an Etsy shop now 🙌🏼
Theres so many of these types of videos. Yours are so in depth and actually show step by step how to do things. I would've gave up on trying to use midjourney if it wasnt for your videos. Thank you man
Thank you for sharing these videos! Going to start right now!!! Super content, super clear graphics! Great editing, clear and consise information!
Your advice is so genuine and helpful! Glad I found your channel!
A "customer mentality" means that you need to step into the customer journey on your site and over your products. This means, you need to become highly focussed on the customer experience with your business and more importantly, with your product and service. Repeat sales, engagement, as well as cross- and upsells are an attestation to this fact. Thanks for your great content, Alek, sold on your content already, so subscribed!
Thank you sooo much for these educational and inspirational videos! Please keep ‘em coming! 😀
Hi Alex, i never comment on videso but this is the 3rd video of yours that ive watched today after just finding you and im feeling really inspired and ready to start. Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences and knowledge. 😊 Its exactly what i needed to see this week!
Subscribed, taking notes, excited to get started! Thank you for making such clear and helpful videos!!
Your videos are super informative, easy to follow. Just awesome! You've inspired me to start my own Etsy biz.
Looove your channel so far. The one showing North Prints and Hearts In Colors etsy stores was awesome. Digital downloads is so popular. I had no idea!!!! Once again you nailed it on this one too. Thx so much! Printify could be better to use but i'm still grateful for their service. Nice to see you mention Crazy Dog. They are my role model. I love brainstorming idea like they have.
Your Challenge from 0 to 100K' series not only brings clarity to a print-on-demand journey but also rekindled my confidence in starting mine with Etsy, after almost walking away - your guidance is a game-changer!
This amazing! Thanks for step by step guide! I’ve been contemplating of this for a while but had no clue where and how to start esp with zero experience of design etc. I really want to try it out! ❤❤❤
I only found you recently and I have been on KZread watching Etsy videos for years. I love your vide and your info is so concise. I am binge watching now
I just found you today and I already love your videos, so much so that I bought your full training because I’m so excited to start working on my Etsy shop. Thank you so much for your time!
Alek, thanks for these great tips. I am just getting going on Etsy, your tips are a great key to begin my journey in customer focused service.
This was one of the most helpful Etsy information videos that I have seen so far - Thank you for sharing (I just joined your channel fam).
I REALLY NEEDED THIS VIDEOOOOOO. Super informative and honestly encouraging. Thank you.
This is the best KZread content I have come across in months - thank you so much!
Thank you so much for providing realistic, tactical and practical advice!
The amount of value you give in every video is unbelievable i never subbed so fast
This is exactly what I needed to hear today ✨ Great content!
Thanks Alex I love your advice thanks for the tip about asking each customer for a review I will add this to my plan as soon as I open my shop still in the settings up stage.
New sub, I'm new to the game and just opened my shop. You are spot on with all advice giving. I really appreciate all the great info you offer. I will follow your steps and see where this takes me 😊
This was a very useful video, I'm still knew to Etsy and designing digital products to sell. Thanks for the tips! You have earned a new subscriber.
This has to be the most useful video on selling on Etsy that I've ever seen. A lot of sellers have told me not to use the mock-ups because then, my work won't stand out. But I know that scrolling through Etsy, I don't want to buy something that looks like it's amaturish, and my personal photos, as good as they are, aren't going to give that Etsy vibe. I also know now that I need to add more items to my store, use all of my keywords, and Get my off Etsy buyers to leave me some reviews. Thanks for this, I'm looking forward to my first hundred sales!
Excellent video. So many people post "first 100 sales" videos and this is by far the best. At least 20 listings, use good keywords, use good images and BE CONSISTENT
I have seen a tons of videos and channels, and you are the winner 🏆 thank you so much for your work ❤ keep doing it ❤
Wow...Alek, you said the most powerful thing when you said basically it's a mindset. How the lack of sales can sap your spirit and one must solider through that. That is the real nuts and bolts of every endeavor in life. Great advice.

this helped tremendously! thank you so much!
This guy is great. I'm excited to implement his strategies and plans in hopes to be successful!
This is great, I've had a few sales, but zero reviews on Etsy, but I got 2 reviews on Ebay. I feel that's because eBay encourages reviews more than Etsy does. I think that's a great idea to send them coupons. Also, I tried running ads for a little over 2 weeks and nothing came of it at all. I had all these views and clicks from the ads, but no sales. I stopped running the ads and kept putting up listings, and I started getting sales anyway. Thanks for all the great advice!
Another great video. I just found you and have been watching the 0 to 100k series, which really helped me in launching my second Etsy shop this week, which I was planning on but you gave me some specifics to go by. This new shop launched yesterday and is POD only featuring my original design work, but for a broader audience. My main shop is based on my design and artwork and I make everything myself. Approaching 400 sales heading into my second year. I am going to use some of what I am learning now to modify my keywords and tweak that shop as well. Much appreciated.

Alek, Just wanted to say thanks for these amazing and encouraging KZread lessons on E-commerce. Your May 7th 2020 comment caught me. As I have decided to fully be committed on E-commerce September 24th, 2023 after one of the hardest years of my life and my day time job taking me away form the things I love the most, my family. I was watching one of your videos and learning intensely by the pool side while my kids played! I plan to apply everything you teach into launching a new chapter of my life. Thanks again.

Hey Alek, really loving the content. I'm in the process of going through and getting all my designs ready at the moment. I'll probably have a couple of hundred variations ready to go by the end of the day. I'm guessing that just dumping them all straight on Etsy isn't as good as releasing new stuff regularly, but is there an optimal amount or frequency you can recommend?
Great video. Thank you.

for the yt algorithm. Btw one thing I've seen really work in term of youtube, is just telling people what to write in the comments like a "the comment of the week is: Organic traffic is the shit!". People will just write that out in order to help you out / as a thank you for your content. Takes away the having to think about what to write

Me too brother! Starting is the hardest but once you learn the flow it gets easier. Society6 is more fun to work with i think but Etsy gets way more business. I'm doing 3 stores. One for oil landscape paintings, one for graphic design stuff (humor, motivational) and one for vintage public domain type images. If you do multiple sites you obviously increase your odds. If u have any problems you can alwayw find help on youtube. Like how to get your first 100 sales. Good luck!

@@AIChatAdvisor Thanks for the recommendation. I realize the power of mindset is spiritual. In fact, as far as super natural beings go.. we all are eternal beings and thus supernatural. As a Christian, I am in-dwelt with the Holy Spirit. The very presence of God. Knowing this has been a massive shift in my life. It caries into business, but applying a higher purpose to business puts power into it. Knowing that building a business is a part of my service to the Lord and not to myself. I am very weary of self help books that seek to put God's created in the place of the Creator.
