would have been nice to include the pre-requisites to begin this; ie: how many/which Cpt Brant main quests do you need done before Roman will give the quest - Seat of the Sovran.

Maybe he is dead in your game. Check with the guy in Vernworth Charnel House and see if his body is there.

@nixzxin I have literally just started NG++ and got to Vernworth - no one should be dead yet! Haha I know all too well about the wrath of NPCs winding up in the morgue but I just checked, no bodies there whatsoever. He just doesn't seem to want to spawn. He's also not in my never-ending list of NPCs under the 'History' tab in the menu. In two whole playthroughs and over 150hrs of gameplay I have never come across him! I had also never done that quest about the nurse working in the slums until last night when I randomly stumbled across a note that led me on a wild goose chase to find her! There's so much stuff in this game and I'll bet there's some sort of trigger for this Roman character that most people are completely unaware of...

Hmm that does sound weird, if he is still alive somewhere. Check the entire castle area? I went to find him after all Captain Brent’s quest if that helpful. Otherwise it suggests your save is maybe bugged.

@nixzxin I'll wait until after doing those quests again and try find him again. That very well could be the trigger for him showing up? I'll report back if with my findings and hopefully help others if they wind up in the same boat as me. Otherwise, this is a great guide btw! Thank you

@nixzxin So, I just finished Brent's quests (took my time and was farming dragons), Roman spawned but refuses to say more than just one line to me... Not entirely sure what could be the trigger for this now. Confused.

Not endgame items though

No, but you want to buy endgame stuff, upgrade it here then go back and do the last upgrade using WLCs. I think the only other place you should upgrade anything is with the elves and that's if you use magic. Otherwise, dwarven upgrades are the best
