#1 takeaway from this video: this will not work for 99.9999% of you, if not only working for him. He's a genetic anomaly, as is his beard density. If you take that tight of a guard to your face in that way, most won't have much of anything left. For example, berzinskys rendition of the executive is much longer than this to achieve remotely the same density, as it is for most. Most, including me, will need some more jawline growth to support their density, which takes more length than this to achieve. That's how berzinsky and tons of others do it, too. The end visual result looks much the same and is very clean-cut, but something this short will work for very very few. Further, the freehanding he's doing, most notably on the sides and rear part of his jawline/below ears, is impossible to do without a camera, double-mirror, or a barber. He's using the camera and his mirror to do a lot of this and isn't advising this. If you just go straight in and try and do it like that in those areas especially, you'll jack it all up, esp if it's not this short and you can't rely on such atypical density to achieve this look at such a short length. Following your jawline with precision yourself is a very rare feat and best left in the hands of a great beard barber. This isn't remotely as easy as he's making it look.

It’s not just about density but thickness of hairs as well. With a little bit more length, more people can achieve the same appearance of “density”

Yes, but it's very misleading. Carlos has incredibly rare density and genetics, in general. So, a 15 mm looks very, very different and fuller than 99% of others at that length. This is not terribly reasonable to achieve by most anyone else. Hugh Jackman is also a very hairy guy with great beard genetics (but not as much as Carlos), so using that as a template for example is even more misleading. The first thing you should always ask yourself and/or your beard barber- before having them execute a specific style or trim in mind- is whether something is achievable with your genetics, etc.

I wish I had the density Carlos has.
