How to get started with the CAGED system and where it can take you!

Музыка

The CAGED system is such a powerful tool and is a must for unlocking all of the fretboard. Take it slow and take your time, keep going! Leave a comment if this helped you or if there’s something else you’d like me to talk about!

The most in depth lesson for major and minor caged is on “your guitar acadamy” channel. It’s many many lessons. Chord, Arpeggio, pentatonic, full scale. Then they do an exercise to move it around the circle of fifths. Then you do all that stuff in each position. Go climb that mountain!

Tim has one of the best channels any Guitar player advanced or beginner can subscribe to. Not just to learn Guitar but what to expect from the life of being a Guitar player. That's what makes him unique and desirable to be around.

Your explanation is very clear and your demo is excellent. Many of us parlor players haven’t spent enough time practicing fundamentals like these. I look forward to more of your posts.

Tim Awesome stuff for those of us who never had the lessons. But had the feel. We were "caged" for not having this essential stuff. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to more.

Tim, one thing I think is overlooked in most CAGED system demos, that you explained, is that when you change positions you have to change which fingers are used. Even when I know the notes, I still had to retrain my mind and fingers to obey. Smile😊

Holy moly that was good. I'm completely self taught and know most of what you just explained but now I understand it so much better. Thanks Tim. Love this channel.🔥😎🤙

Great video. Loved the stressing of chord tones. No matter what scale/mode is chosen, it's what builds out the framework for the chord or key that's being played. I'd love to see you tackle some more conceptual topics, as well, since you can package the information so well.
