I literally started sponging my hair yesterday and it's about 4 inches and it's already dreaded just not tight and I have a sponge with semi big holes and one double sided with semi and small holes should I use the smaller one to help tighten the locks ?

I see almost every rapper with dreadlocks

I have a good amount of hair like 2 or 3 inches and i been sponge twisting my hair but the twist wont lock and get like dread like form they come out at night and i basically wake up with a curly afro

do the sponge for a bout a week or a couple days make sure it’s not too wet. Also after you do the sponge method and it stays locked up start using the towel method every day and stop with the sponge

If i want dreads like you should i sponge with a sponge that has small holes or a sponge with big holes or use the spiky side?

+xLegendary Gamerx for sure! I only wash my hair when I feel it’s really dirty. That’s usually ever 2 weeks. That seems to be the best time frame for me and a lot of other youtubers recommend that as well ! Give it a try! I appreciate your support as well fam 🙏🏿

+Allen Woe a little bit of both fam! Now that you’re dreads are locking legit try experimenting by instead of sponging 2 times a day try sponging once. If your hair isn’t staying in place revert back to sponging twice a day. But pretty much experiment with your hair you feel me? Right now I’m not sponging twice a day. Some days I just finger twist my hair but that’s just me. You gotta find what works for your hair fam 👌🏿
